Chapter 50: Our Enemy.
With so little of what happens outside the family being not even slightly interesting to me, I had truthfully forgotten the extent of my narration abilities. Nemu was correct, as I am not tied to Celia and the others. I can freely watch whomever I wish…
Celia: “…”
No, I didn’t go back to Celia. My… our Celia was certainly resting in Guanyu’s embrace. Which just makes this even more confusing… This was… Celia, but not?
Zelia: “Vulely, call me Zelia instead. While we’re technically the same… Celia and I are different.” She lightly said, though her mouth didn’t move at all.
Zelia was… chained up like an ancient sacrifice. Her attire was that of a Japanese Shrine Maiden, which isn’t out of place. This was Japan, after all.
Celia’s pink hair, regardless of how long it has been… always shown a bright color, with only slight hints of dark to it. Zelia, on the other hand… her hair was a deeply dark pink, practically black unless you look closer.
Zelia: “I noticed that you left for a bit… With you gone, I intended to do as I pleased to my other half, even if it meant my death. Yet, you’ve come back. If I was aware that time froze upon you leaving… I wouldn’t have bothered trapping Celia in this Dimension.” She said with a wistful tone.
The story has been illicitly taken; should you find it on Amazon, report the infringement.
Narrator Vulely: “That’d be wrong. You were frozen, but not certain timelines. Secretly, I left Celia’s side to play a joke on her…” I clarified with a sigh.
Zelia: “Oh? And how did that little prank go? My mind boggles at the possibilities…” She replied with an evil giggle.
Honestly, I was greatly tempted to hurl various swears and insults at this woman. Thankfully, my better side won over. I sensed that something was wrong, a feeling similar to what Guanyu likely felt, I suppose…
An Hour Later.
Zelia: “…”
Narrator Vulely: “…”
Before even giving these memories to Guanyu, as was her request, I gave them to Zelia first. In my opinion, though Zelia was probably a cut-off, dark version of Celia, the current woman before me wouldn’t commit such an atrocity. She… stayed silent for a long time, only adding to my theory.
Zelia: “It wasn’t me.” She flatly denied.
Narrator Vulely: “Maybe something turned you insane, and caused that end? However, Celia’s words… didn’t really leave you any room of denying the charges, Zelia.” I replied with a thinking pose, standing before the (as I had to be in person to transfer memories) the unmoving, restrained girl.
Zelia: “In those memories, Celia mentioned love… didn’t she? For Higher Beings, incest really isn’t that big of a moral problem. But, personally… I have no intentions of trying to marry myself.” She explained with a completely honest tone.
Narrator Vulely: “…”
What am I supposed to do here? Frankly speaking… are we being played? This Celia… Zelia is significantly weaker than the current Celia. Most of her strength was probably used to trap Celia.
And… Zelia… there is no way that, from when I went to the present, she’d be able to cause that much damage to me. Has the real culprit swapped themselves out with Zelia? Ugh… now my head is in even more pain.
