Volume 10. Chapter 20: Sudden Summoning! (Chapter 921)

  Chapter 20: Sudden Summoning!

Gu: “This is them, from what I can tell. They’ve even managed to turn one of the GMs against me…” She expressed with an impatient, annoyed tone, tapping away at her throne.

Corei: “These four… are the ones upsetting the balance of your game, Gu?” She asked in reply, fury clear on her face.

  Celia and her family: “???”

Seconds before this, Fore and Shuren were lovingly sharing a bed (not in a sexual manner!!!) together, while Celia’s talk was still ongoing. Hearing a snap, the four then found themselves in a throne room.

Gu: “You don’t look like a Goddess, you must be something stronger. Regardless, whilst you’re in my domain, I am the one in control.” She voiced with a pompous tone.

Celia: “So… Gu, you’re the one who got me trapped on this silly island? I would be angry… if this event didn’t allow me to reconnect with a lost friend and family member.” She nonchalantly replied, tactfully getting Amelie, Fore, and Shuren to hide behind her, becoming an unbreakable barrier of protection.

Gu: “Hm… with that personality, you’re definitely a natural-born Higher Being. Though, let us see how smug you’ll stay… once I peek at your pathetic Status!” She exclaimed with righteous fury.

Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon.

Celia offered no resistance, allowing Gu to do as she pleased. For fun, Gu didn’t check Celia’s Status first, saving her for last. She merely inwardly laughed at how weak the group was, now feeling that Celia’s Status wouldn’t be even slightly interesting.

Corei: “Fore? You survived, huh… No matter, you have chosen to go against us, and I will not hold back.” She expressed with a scoff.

Fore: “…” “Why’d she have to remember me?!” She yelled in her mind, though, she was mostly calm, considering how powerful Celia is.

  Gu: “…”

Corei: “Gu? What’s wrong?…” She asked with confusion, seeing Gu’s face fall completely.

Gu: “Miss Celia, may I offer you safe passage off this island of mine?” She proposed, forcing the strongest smile that she could.

  Corei: “( ? _ ? )”

Upon seeing Celia’s Status, Gu was terrified. She had implied that the woman before her was pompous and arrogant, but that wasn’t the case. If Celia was… then this Highest Goddess wouldn’t have taken Gu’s and Corei’s insults so calmly.

Corei: “…Eh?” She deadpanly said, mouth now agape.

Unable to understand her lover’s actions, Corei Inspected Celia’s Status. This, of course, caused her to have the same exact reaction. After all, Celia was even allowing them to see her Status, something which they aren’t able to do at their current Evolution and Level.

Celia: “Leaving this place is my intention, yes. I figured that it was some game, set up by a bored Higher Being, and I was correct.” She finally replied, showing no signs of hostility.

Gu: “…” “A Highest Goddess… can be this agreeable?! I wasn’t even aware that someone had reached that Evolution yet…” She thought with the grandest of confusion, conflicted, yet relieved that Celia clearly wasn’t going to kill Gu and Corei.
