Volume 10. Chapter 25: Waking Up The Girl. (Chapter 926)

Chapter 25: Waking Up The Girl.

Celia, no longer chained down by Gu, was able to move to any Dimension she wished. She could also traverse Universes, but Celia didn’t have any reason to do that just yet.

Guanyu: “Celia?” Spoke, trying to get her wife’s attention.

Celia: “Hm, what?” She replied, returning to herself, not realizing where she was walking.

Upon teleporting to Xena’s Dimension, her private domain, Celia and Guanyu’s destination was the room where their family was sleeping in. Despite this, as the Cultivator was leading her, Celia had started walking in the opposite direction.

Celia: “Sorry, I was… entranced by something.” She said with a confused tone.

Guanyu: “Is that so? This hall leads to… Nemu’s room. Rather than something, Nemu must be guiding you to her.” She replied with a confident tone and expression.

Celia: “Nemu?” She repeated that name, soon recalling who that was.

Looking at each other for a minute, Celia and Guanyu both nodded, before then going further along with Nemu’s guidance. Eventually, the two made it to a specific room, and then they walked over to Nemu’s bedside.

Celia: “Why hasn’t Ruina woken her wife up yet?” She asked with a thinking pose.

Guanyu: “Everyone assumed that, once they became Highest Goddesses, getting Nemu out of her coma would be easy.” She answered with a sigh.

Celia: “Could not even Faith or Xena could wake her?” She replied with a worried tone.

Guanyu: “The assumption was that Nemu is in a coma, not that there were other reasons for her sleep. No one here could wake Nemu, unfortunately. And not even I… can figure out the true cause of Nemu’s affliction.” She explained with an unsure, conflicted tone.

Celia: “…” “No solution exists? I can’t believe that! If I did… then Ruina would lose her wife forever…” She thought with a deeply saddened tone.

As she gazed at the comatose Nemu, Celia racked her brains. What is the cause of Nemu’s sleep? I have no idea, as Nemu never woke up in the original timeline…

  Days Later.

Oddly, neither of them wished to wake up the rest of the family… until Nemu’s illness was cured. They just spent days thinking, and doing every test to Nemu that they could do.

In the end, not even Divinity could force Nemu’s eyes open. She continued to lie in her bed, just as Nemu has done for countless years now.

Celia: “Is… there no method that we can use to cure Nemu? Perhaps something that we’ve missed…” She said with a defeated tone, holding her head in her hands.

Guanyu: “Dear… it isn’t like we have tried everything. This might be beyond us, however… there could be a solution found in another Universe.” She replied in a coaxing, wifely tone, gently caressing Celia’s back.

Guanyu, doing her best to coax her wife, and with Celia’s vision blocked, not paying attention to her surroundings, neither of them noticed… Nemu’s hand moving, silently grabbing onto Celia’s arm.
