chapter 44

  i see a light and i begin to move towards it and find..... the sun rising through a window to my left.

  I'm back in my room, surrounded by the girls that i have grown to love. i sit up and look around,

  nothing is out of place. Lilith sits up next to me, she's crying. i have never seen her cry before,

  except for during that dream, no nightmare. i feel something moist on my cheek, i reach a hand up

  and touch it, before liking my finger. it's tears, i have never cried before. i have never been in enough

  pain to cry before, but i don't feel pain. am i sad? i have never felt sorrow before so i wouldn't know,

  but i think that's what this emotion is called.

  suddenly Lilith embraces me while continuing to cry. i stroke her head to sooth her.

  "it's all OK, it was just a dream" Jackie

  i notice that i am still in my female form. thinking back on it everything points to it being a dream.

  first, when i woke up no one was around, in that kind of situation someone would have been sent to

  get me up. second, it was midmorning in the dream, i never sleep that late. third, there was no one

  in the village, the people here are in no way cowards, they are mercenaries for crying out loud.

  fourth, there was no one fighting the troll other than the people i care about, the people here have a

  lot of pride, they would gladly face death to protect their pride. fifth, those humans were there,

  they would have run for their lives in that kind of situation, unless they were among the first

  casualties, in which case there would be others lying dead there.

  "don't you dare die before me." Lilith

  "i can't promise that." Jackie

  at that she starts to laugh nervously, to which i also start to laugh.

  "worst dream ever. i much prefer it when I'm in control of your dreams." Lilith

  "agreed." jack

  "whats up girls?" Johanna

  "just a really, really bad dream" Jackie

  "anyway, want to help feed your wife?" Johanna

  "I'm not hungry, especially after seeing that." Lilith

  "wow, it must have been a horrible dream, you're always hungry." Johanna

  *snort*"you're right, I'm always hungry, but that's cause you can never fill me up." Lilith

  "so?" Johanna

  "not now, maybe later" Lilith

  "awww." Johanna

  i check the notifications that i missed and see that their are 2 now.

  'cool, can't wait till they finish updating my status though.' Jackie

  'ugh, that was all a dream huh.' ???

  'who are you?' Jackie

  'i am you' ???

  'elaborate on that, what do you mean by you are me?' Jackie

  'i mean exactly that, i am your more ancient and emotional part of your, our mind.' ???

  'why come out now then?' Jackie

  'a lot of things have happened recently to shock me awake, the last of which being the intense

  anger you, we felt during that dream.' ???

  after talking to the voice for a little while i learned a bit about it. apparently during times with a lot

  of emotional duress, he can split from my main mind. otherwise we are loosely joined, so i would

  still be able to feel emotion. during the time it splits from my mind either one of us can take control

  of the body, depending on the situation. for example, if a level head is required while dealing with a light bringer he will go sulk angrily in the back of my mind, essentially making me unable to feel emotion. it also has a different fighting style than me, more of a berserker than an assassin. as i am the logical part of us, i control most magic, with elemental magics being controlled by it. it represents not only emotion but primal desire as well, like lust, hunger, and blood lust. there are also several unknown factors with it.

  'so, what should i call you?' Jackie

  'as i am part of you, you can call me whatever you want' ???

  'emotion i guess, I'm not very creative with names.' Jackie

  'that's fine with me, or rather us' emotion

  during our, or rather my, conversation, which lasted about 3 minutes. i was stroking Lilith's hair as

  she clung to my self cleaning gray shirt. all the while a still small voice whispers in my head.

  'fuck her' emotion

  'now's not the time' Jackie

  'come on, i know you want to, because you are me, and i want to' emotion

  'can't you feel the vibe?' Jackie

  'no, i don't do logical things like that, thats your job.' emotion

  'and I'm telling you to shut up' Jackie

  'OK' emotion

  at around this time the others begin to get up. i think Lucy was just faking sleeping, like Johanna has

  started to do. ghost, who is still half asleep, grabs me and starts licking my arm. i stand up, causing

  ghost to wake up, and walk down stairs. when i get to the kitchen i start to cook, breakfast burritos.

  "morning jack, have a good night?" Mary

  "not in the slightest" Jackie

  at this she looks at me curiously before realizing that I'm not going to reveal anything. i hand her a

  plate with a warmed tortilla shell.

  "dish some food." Jackie

  "thanks" Mary

  "where's the old man?" Jackie

  "hanging from the ceiling in our room, with vibrating anal beads stuck in his ass." Mary

  'eeww' emotion

  "i don't want to know that much about my adoptive parents sex life." Jackie

  "i don't either." Johanna

  i sit down to eat while checking my new skill and title.

  i was planning to use the events of last chapter as sort of an april fools day prank, but seeing as

  april is really far away i just said fuck it and posted it.
