With Every Good Cuddle, Comes a Good Bite on The Hand
The Curtain had been moved slightly by the blowing of the wind, allowing the tiniest bit of sun to shine through the window, and with that shine had disturbed Gu Mingyu from his slumber.
Which wasn’t a good thing, since he was notorious for being ill-tempered in the morning and preferring to sleep until afternoon if given the chance and no one dared to try and make it otherwise. But in that instance, Gu Mingyu’s eyes opened slightly when he noticed he flipped himself in his sleep, causing him to see a sleeping Zhao Yuwen cuddled right up next to him.
The arm wrapped around his body, the blanket covering the both of them. And worse off, the headache he was suffering from the hangover was not making him think straightest in the slightest (bold of someone to assume he would think straight in the first place) and pushed Zhao Yuwen’s arm off of him and decided to bite down on his hand.
And when he bitten down as hard as he could, the blood soaked right onto his lips and down the throat as he devoured it. But when he released, he realized that Zhao Yuwen didn’t even seem to feel the pain, or if he did, decided to ignore it in favor of gazing right into his eyes.
“Xiao Huli, you are hungry so early in the morning you would rather feast on my flesh and blood then just slip past me and order something to eat downstairs?”
And to make himself even cheekier, he waved the bitten hand right in front of Gu Mingyu.
“I told you I would bite you if you dared to cuddle me, and now you want to blame me?” A soft snort sounded, “You really are a shameless person, aren’t you?”
“I-I’m shameless?”
“Otherwise? You're the one who got close enough to cuddle with me, do you take my words for shit?”
Zhao Yuwen’s lip twitched on the right side slightly, as he replied with. “Xiao Huli, you're the one who rolled over in your sleep, shouldn’t you be taking your own words for—shit?”
“You act like you didn’t know I rolled over in my sleep? Or who was the one trying to inspect my belly in the carriage?”
“H-How did you know?”
“I didn’t.” Gu Mingyu admitted, “I was just guessing, but now I know the truth. You slander me in your mind and secretly a pervert when no one else is around watching you. If I didn't know any better, I would assume you would grope my balls if last night wasn’t our first meeting.”
Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon.
First official meeting in human form, in this life.
“A-Am I such a bad person in your eyes?”
“If I were to answer such a question, I doubt you would be able to keep what remains of your reputation intact.”
. . .
. . .
. . .
Neglecting the serious confusion on Zhao Yuwen’s face, Gu Mingyu had climbed over him. Looking for the top parts of his robes, his inner and outer.
“Why does everyone call you Lao Huli if you only have one tail? Doesn't that mean you are young by the standards of a Fox Demon?”
Sometimes one can wonder if he is pretending to be stupid or actually stupid, Gu Mingyu thought, especially with the questions he asks.
“Didn’t you pay attention to what Xiaogou told you? Fox Demons are notorious for their deception tactics. You didn’t think I was actually going to show you all of my tails and expose how powerful I truly am, did you?”
“I see.”
“So, do you intend to meet the City Lord for the gain of healing yourself or another?”
“For myself, in the future if needed be.”
“A good answer.” Gu Mingyu replied with what sounded like a little praise, “She wouldn’t like it if you lied for the sake of hiding your true intentions.”
“You know her? The City Lord.”
“I met her over three years ago.” Gu Mingyu explained, “I had run out of money and had no liquor to drink, no food to eat and so skinny I would've thought I was going to die within a single breath.”
“And she….”
“Likes Women.” Gu Mingyu replied, “She once liked men, but that was a long time ago, in fact I personally think she and Xiao Zhu would be a cute couple together. And besides in a city like this, who would dare shame them for being together?”
“Hong Zhu, and the City Lord?”
Gu Mingyu finished putting on the outer robe after putting on the inner robe. “You’ll understand when you meet her. Especially seeing them together, even if I don’t ship them, you wouldn’t believe the amount of fanfiction published within the city’s walls.”
“Fan what?”
“An explanation for another time.” Gu Mingyu remarked, “If you wish to meet her, I suggest hurrying up, those two disciples from the Baihe Sect are likely competing for the same thing.”
“R-Right, coming, give me a moment.”
“Idiots take the longest to get dressed.” Gu Mingyu complained under his breath, “I’d better wait in the carriage, save me the trouble and maybe get a nap in the meantime.”
“You just woke up.”
“So?”
“I—” Zhao Yuwen sighed, “Forget it, go on and give me a couple minutes.”
