Xania looks at the plant for a moment before looking back at Anise.
“We're done now, right?”
“Yep!”
“Alright, so do we go play the game or what? We still need to decide a winner.”
“Later. Firstly, I want to check something.”
“Fine, what is it you want to check?”
“My lord. Try to focus on the surroundings, tell me if you feel any divinity.”
“Sure?” Xania starts trying as she feels a very miniscule amount.
“I feel a bit. Why?”
“As I thought, now, tell me if you feel any in this.” Anise pulls out a cage containing a chicken from her bracelet along with another bracelet, passing it to Xania.
“Thanks for the new bracelet, I guess? But the chicken? Seriously?”
“Yes seriously.”
Xania looks at Anise's oddly serious face before reluctantly closing her eyes and focusing as much as she can, finding a small amount of divinity in the chicken, slightly more than the atmosphere.
“My lord, is there any?”
“Well, I suppose, but why?”
“I had a theory, I figured divinity isn't just divinity. It is a life force.”
“Life force?”
“Yea, so I figured every living creature should have some no matter how less it is.”
“And you want me to do what with this information.”
“Nothing, I was just curious. Now is the main part, sit down and let me test something. Oh and also, give me some divinity.”
“Sure?” Xania uses some divinity, placing it into a box of concentrated neutral mana she made and passing it to Anise.
“Thank you my lord.” Anise starts by absorbing the mana through her palms while holding it with both hands, eventually getting to the divinity which she very carefully controls without absorbing.
She starts making a magic circle, one never seen before by Xania while adding a thin layer of divinity over the mana.
As she finishes, she starts infusing the rest of her divinity and mana into the circle causing it to start glowing with a bright colourless light, pulling in all the surrounding divinity.
“My lord, try to absorb it! Pretend your training your mana but divinity instead!”
“What? You know what? Fine, you always do weird stuff like this.” Xania materialises a chair as she sits down, closing her eyes as she starts absorbing the nearby divinity.

As she keeps absorbing, she eventually gets closer to reaching her original amount as she slows down.
“My lord, just continue! Trust me!”
Xania hesitates for a moment before answering. “Fine, if anything goes wrong it's your fault though.”
“Got it” Anise says while waving dismissively.
Xania starts absorbing the surrounding divinity at full speed again, bracing herself for pain as she reaches her original highest amount.
She keeps absorbing divinity, opening her eyes as the expected pain does not arrive.
“Huh? This is actually… pretty nice.”
Xania keeps absorbing nonstop, coming to an abrupt stop despite not wanting to do so as she looks at Anise.
“My lord, you absorbed all the divinity in the room.”
“Huh?” Xania closes her eyes and concentrates on the atmosphere, feeling no signs of divinity remaining.
“Wow, that was nice. I should give you a job as a researcher, you're good at stuff like this.”
“I humbly refuse.”
“Fine, I won't force it upon you.”
Anise teleports them outside to a grassy field.
“Anise, what are we doing here?”
“Feel.”
“Huh?”
“Divinity, is there more here?”
Xania starts feeling around, not needing to close her eyes as she feels even more divinity around.
“Yea?”
“Good, so how much more?”
“Not that much, it's like nothing compared to mine.”
“Doesn't matter, I've got another theory. The familiar contract didn't give me divinity, divinity depends on a living being's lifespan.”
“Cool?”
Anise starts setting up another magic circle, much bigger as Xania provides her with divinity and mana, repeating this process nonstop as Xania looks back at the once grassy field, reduced to a field of withering plants.
“Wow, what a unique sight.”
“My lord, do you have more divinity than before?”
“Not sure, I currently have less but I can feel my body regenerating it back so it may have a bigger capacity.”
“Good enough for me.”
“But it does seem like my sensitivity to divinity increased though.”
“Alright, information is good”
Xania starts sensing the area around her, suddenly feeling a massive spike in divinity approaching her at massive speeds, dodging in time as something lands where she was standing mere moments ago, destroying the area.
“My lord, are you okay?”
“I'm fine, be careful.”
Xania and Anise observe as a person with black hair and formal attire stands in the middle of the small crater created as he turns back to look at them, a serious expression on his face.
“Who the hell…” Xania watches as a glowing white sword suddenly appears out of the air in his hands as he rushes at him. “Anise, dodge!”
The unknown swings his sword at Xania and Anise, getting a bit of Xania schemes as she touches her cheek, looking at her bloodied hand as she pulls it away from her face.
“Wow, how dangerous huh? Cool sword you have there, let's see… this is how it works right?” Xania uses her divinity, solidifying it into a sword due to not having enough for a scythe. A weapon she is decent at due to Davien forcing her to familiarise herself with every weapon used before by past demon lords.
They start clashing with each other as Anise is frozen in place instinctively due to the massive amount of divinity making her body react.
“Crap, body… body, Move!” She thinks angrily despite the fact her body is shaking in fear slightly.
“No way I'm just gonna let my lord do this by herself!” She thinks as she watches Xania slowly getting overpowered due to the massive difference in divinity with Xania being weaker in every aspect. Experience, divinity, mana and even physical strength which is usually her biggest strength.
Anise keeps struggling, trying to get herself to move, finally getting herself to move as Xania keeps getting pushed back.
“My lord!”
“Wait Anise! Don't come here!”
Xania keeps fending the unknown man off, getting pushed back slowly as he keeps persisting.
Xania eventually gets pushed down, hey body covered in many small cuts as the unknown man prepares to finish Xania off.
Xania closes her eyes, trying to create a shield to block it.
After a while, she doesn't feel the pain expected of being stabbed with a sword or anything pain at all for that face as she opens her eyes slightly, finding her body healed of all injuries.
“What happened?”
Xania suddenly feels something drip onto her leg as she looks up.
“What… Anise?”
Xania looks up, trying to process the information presented right in front of her, a glowing blade through Anise's body as the unknown man pulls the blade out of her, cussing her to stumble backwards, blade flowing freely put as Xania catches her before she falls, trying to heal her but not able to die to being injured with divinity.
The unknown man watches as Xania keeps trying to heal Anise as her breathing eventually stops.
“You reap what you sow.” The unknown man speaks for the first time as Xania sets Anise down gently, standing up as she glares at him.
