Anise sits at the side of the bed, trying to shake Xania awake for hours due to having nothing to do at all due to boredom.
“My lordddd, wake up!!!”
Xania wakes up, smacking Anise away and going back to sleep.
“... Wake up!!!!”
Anise keeps complaining for the next whole hour, not letting Xania sleep.
“Anise, don't you know that you should let a sick person rest huh?! Since you're so damn free how about you go and help Sliver with whatever she is doing!”
Xania teleports Anise out of the room.
“My lord! How could you do this to me?! I swear I'll find a spell that makes it so that you have the same ‘period’ thing human women do!”
Anise keeps complaining as she uses scouting magic to find Sliver, teleporting straight to her.
She looks around, surprised at where she is. “Wow, didn't expect you to be here and with Dragrove at that.” Anise looks around the newly made farm land along with some demons and Dragrove who just ignores her.
“Anise, what do you want?” Sliver asks.
“Xania sent me here since she didn't want to deal with me.” Anise crosses her arms.
“I don't want to deal with you either.” Sliver replies immediately.
“Well, too bad.” Anise walks over to Dragrove who keeps ignoring her until she flicks him.
“Hey! Stupid dragon, tell me what to do so I can entertain myself at least.”
“...” Dragrove points to the warehouse. “Instructions, in there, go.”
Anise teleports into the warehouse, finding many seeds inside along with instructions with pictures on it.
After a while, Anise gives up on trying to remember the steps needed to farm, however less there are as she takes the instruction sheet and starts trying.
A couple hours later, Xania wakes up and changes her clothes while cleaning herself up with magic. As she goes to open the door, still sleepy, she immediately closes it.
“...”
“Anise!!!!” She shouts as Anise suddenly appears next to her in a gardening uniform, dirtying the floor much to Xania's annoyance.
“Yes my lord?”
“What the hell is going on?” Xania opens the door, revealing overgrown carnivorous plants, closing the door as it tries to attack her.
“You told me to help Sliver. I did, I took an interest.” Anise shrugs like nothing is wrong.
“Yea, farming. Not breeding new monster species!”
The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
“It's not bad, look at this.” Anise walks out, going to pat the plant.
“See my lord? It's not that bad, wanna try?”
Xania cautiously approaches it, trying to touch it as it doesn't bite back.
“See? Not that bad right?”
“Well… I suppose so? But how did you even make a plant grow into something like this and so quickly?”
“See? Also, I just used magic.”
“No… this was definitely not a function of magic… and you're taking your hobby outdoors.” Xania says while looking at all the soil, water and leaves on the ground.
“Fine.” Anise starts teleporting them all out, creating a small greenhouse for them. Over time, Anise keeps caring for the plants, spending more time on them than even her work, which is either a lot or almost nothing all the time. Her greenhouse slowly gains more attraction from other demons who come to visit, some even taking up farming as a hobby but Xania not allowing them to grow carnivorous plants after seeing Anise feed a pig to them before.
“My lord, I'm back!” Anise rushes into the bedroom as Xania uses magic to burn off her clothes, replacing them with new ones.
“What is it?”
“Am I allowed to sell the carnivorous plants?”
“Hell no.”
“Oh… oops?”
“What did you do?”
“I already… sold some of them?” Anise glances away sheepishly.
“... Get those plants back. Alive or dead!!!”
“My lord. Some humans are also afraid of dogs, but once they get one, they learn to love them.”
“Do those damn things of yours look like dogs?”
“Fine, you can't can't stand seeing me be successful in life!”
Anise angrily teleports away.
“She's not going to do so is she?” Xania thinks for a moment. “Nope, she isn't, can't believe I have to do this.”
Xania immediately teleports far away, using the ridiculous spell on some weeds as they turn into giant carnivorous plants that resemble beat traps due to their short height but with mouths filled with ridiculously sharp teeths instead of traps.
Xania starts experimenting with them, eventually creating an effective counter to the spell, teleporting back to Anise with a gasous bio weapon against the plants in a magic circle.
“Anise, Anise you there?” Xania walks up, finding all the plants she sold back in the greenhouse.
“Wow, you actually got them back?”
“Of course I did! I'm more responsible than you! Hey… what's that magic circle you've got prepared there?”
“Huh? What are you talking about?” Xania hides the magic circle behind her back.
“Whatever… so this means I can keep my friends right?”
“Friends?” Xania looks up at the plants. “Right… friends.”
“Now, if you don't mind, I think I'll get back to—”
The plants Anise as Xania makes a shield around her neck just in time, sighing as Anise ends up in blood due to the plants last feeding .
“... My lord, I don't think I want to do farming anymore, at least not with magic.”
“Good choice, let me help.” Xania uses the magic circle, killing off all the plants.
“I'll go look for a new hobby, wanna join?”
“... Sure, what do you have in mind?”
“Reading?”
Xania and Anise go to the library, trying reading out as Xania gets lazy and tries to make a spell for the knowledge to enter her mind, causing all the books to grow teeth and wings.
“My lord!”
“My bad… what's next?”
“Well it's… pets?”
“No, blob can speak and she's a pain.”
“Ok… how about cooking… wait nevermind.”
“How about board games?” Anise suggests making Xania look up at the word ‘games’.
“Sure, sounds nice?”
“The humans have some too, but so do the elves.”
“Sure, I'll wait here, you go get them.”
“Lazy as hell.”
Anise teleports away, returning 20 minutes later to Xania lying on the bed.
“Anise, what took so long?”
“Shut it… I couldn't find the game so I had to ask somebody. The only people there were the twins and the queen, all of whom were in a meeting so I had to wait…”
“Whatever, let's try?”
“... Sure.” Anise sighs, knowing it's pointless to get annoyed at Xania.
Anise and Xania play for a couple of hours, both of them learning that the other is actually a saw loser, hence why the game lasted so long.
“I win!!!” Anise declares.
“No way, I won!” Xania refutes.
“I won 13 to 10!” Anise says confidently.
“No way, you lost count. I got 15!” Xania says, trying to make 15 on her hand but failing completely, somehow ending up with 6.
“My lord, just because I'm better than you does not mean you gotta be a cheater.”
“I'm not. You are.”
“Fine! How about another game?”
“Exactly!”
They both played another 10 games, tying each other.
“Well… how about an odd number of games?” Anise suggests as Xania accepts, losing count halfway.
“My lord, I'm busy now. We shall decide a winner in the future!”
“You better come back and don't run away!”
“Same to you!”
Anise teleports away as Xania cleans up the board game.
