After all the annous about the magic squad's achievements were over and the crowd had finally settled down, Julius tinued.

  By that point, Alex and the captains had already gotten off the stage.

  Julius announced. "Now that the achievement annous are over, here's the moment you've been waiting for,".

  He theured towards the entrance of the stage and announced, "His Highhe king of the Clover kingdom Augustus Kira Clover Xlll has graced us with his presence!"

  Alex listeo Julius's words and a mog smile traced his lips.

  Walking through an archway ected to the stage, a middle-aged man with a pedophilic mustache dressed in expensive-looking clothes carrying a scepter appeared oage and walked up right o the wizard king.

  "Don't stao me." He said arrogantly while shooing Julius away.

  "Ah yes." Julius nodded before distang himself.

  "G-Give it up for our King!" Julius said to the audience.

  He looked at the citizens with an arrogant look on his fad said, "Now revere me! I AM YOUR KING!! I AM THE MOST IMPORTANT PERSON IN THIS TRY!! REVERE ME!!"

  But what weled the king was an awkward silence where the citizens were just looking at the king without doing anything.

  The King greeted the citizens once again thinking that the response would be different.

  Well, he was in for a rude awakening!

  The response was different, but not in a good way.

  Looking at Julius and then the king, the crowd cheered with little to husiasm. "Long live the uh, king or whatever..."

  This made the king angry aarted to scream at the citizens to revere him.

  Alex watched the drama unfolding from behind and couldn't help but ugh.

  Soon the king started speaking once again but this time he said something which broughteveryone's attention to the man.

  "The Eye of the Midnight Sun's hideout has been located."

  This made all the citizens who were looking at the king with bored looks widen their eyes in surprise, seeing that the king smiled as well.

  "Until now, they have attacked us many times, and they had the upper hand in every battle. Bit things are different now. We are going to un all-out atta the enemy! To that end, I have decided to gather an even more select group from the Magiights to form the ultimate hand-picked unit."

  The king paused as he passed to let the information sink ihen tapped his scepter on the ground and started speaking once again.

  "They will be called... The Royal Knights!!!"

  "A week from now, I will hold an exam for all Magiights. Only those who pass this examwill be allowed to join the Royal Knights. And then, we will destroy the Eye of the MidnightSun!"

  The King then did the magiight salute seeing which all the gathered magiights salted as well.

  "Magiights, offer up yrimoires in service to this kingdom!" The king yelled as allthe non-magiight citizens rose in cheers for the royal knights.

  The King who was now satisfied with the response of the citizens soon released the saluteseeing which the magiights stood at ease as well.

  The King then annouhe festival to be over as he tapped the staff on the ground andimmediately the sky was filled with fireworks.

  After the speech of the 'King' was over, Julius called Alex and Yuno te them to participate in the exams and ot.

  The Wizard King had high hopes for them!

  Alex and Yuno climbed dowower, chatting about stuff when they came aereoleoing Leopold and the members of the Crimson Lions fetting a lower rank, firing them up.

  Alex smiled at her as and muttered. "You're as ruthless as ever!"

  "Hmm... So, you're here. I'm searg around for you." Mereoleona grinned, her fire turning into the shape of a lion.

  "Want to get your ass whipped again?!" Alex also grinned, his aura turning wild and a shadow of a bck dragon appeared behind him.

  Leopold raised his hand and gave a thumb up to Alex for daring to stand up against his sister sino one had ever dared to do that.

  "Heh? Do you think it will be like st time?" Mereoleona's grin grew wider, showing her all teeth. "This time... I'll beat you to death!"

  "The's go! I 't wait to do you again~!" Alex's grin twisted into something sinister and dangerous as he was hyped for the battle.

  Mereoleona instantly grabbed Leopold and Yuno before she walked out towards the bar. Alex followed her closely, wanting to see Yami's face when she would grab him too.

  It would be one hell of a sight.

  Yami was enjoying himself at a bar, mog the other captains and making fun of them.

  "It was great! You should have looked at the faces of that sy bug and braided bangs. Their rea was just priceless." Yami was ughing happily, drinking the wine as he celebrated the victory.

  "You seem white pleased with yourself for climbing the ranks just once."

  Suddenly hearing a familiar voice Yami's body stiffened up as his head turned robotically toward the dire of the voily to find Mereoleona standing there with her arms crossed.

  "S-Sisgoleon..."

  "Who the hell are you calling 'Sisgoleon'?" Mereoleona asked with a dark face.

  Yami replied with a serious face. "Well, you're Fuegoleon's sister, so that'd make you Sisgoleon."

  "We siblings are not referred to by suiames."

  "Huh, you mean your family is not like Grampsgoleon, Gramsgoleon, Daddygoleon,Mommygoleon, and so on?" Yami asked in total seriousness.

  "Damn... Mommygoleon almost got me," Alex couldn't help his ughter.

  Seeing him standing beside Mereoleona, Yami started ughing and said, "Looks like she caught you, kid."

  Mereoleona simply ignored Yami's ent and started walking toward Yami, grabbing him too.

  "You are ing as well." Mereoleona decred.

  "Huh?"

  "You weren't eveo the event. you simply didn't bother to show up...Not to mention-"

  Suddenly the aura arouurhreatening as she looked at Yami with a predatory smile on her fabsp;

  "You were trying to challenge me back there, huh?" Mereoleona grinned with killing i.

  Yami looked at the woman in front of her but to him, she appeared to be a reaper fmes.

  He turo Alex and said. "Kid, I'm giving you a mission. Save me from her!"

  Alex listened and ughed. "Sorry, Captain. I think it will be best for you to follow her willingly or else, she will burn you to ashes!"

  And just like that, she got out of the establishment with the people hanging on thefme paws behind her, well aside from one, who was just walking beside her with his hands behind his head.

  Alex had no care in this world since he was looking forward to having some private time with Mereoleona ter.
