Volume 10. Chapter 5: Silly Angel... (Chapter 906)

  Chapter 5: Silly Angel...

Marni: “Ah, I almost died…” She voiced through whimpers.

Celia: “Not from something like this…” She replied with a somewhat frustrated tone.

While not paying attention, Marni had fallen into a trap. Specifically, a deep hole, which was filled with various spikes. Blatantly, this hunting trap was Human-made, considering the type of metal used.

Truthfully, Marni fell directly onto the spikes. Of course, being an Angel, this did no damage to her at all. She isn’t even slightly close to Celia’s Status, but Marni isn’t mortal, her sturdy body causing the spikes that she landed on to easily snap.

Celia: “Marni, your Magic is restricted, not your hardy body. Why don’t you check your Status to confirm this?” She suggested with a sigh, annoyed to be dirty, since she had to help the Angel out of the hole.

Marni: “I did… but my Status showed that I was so weak!” She replied with a sad expression.

Celia: “Yours is broken, too? The System is being buggy right now, so whatever you saw was just a visual erro…” She got cut off.

Marni: “Look at this horrible joke… Status!” She angrily yelled.

  :Status:

  Celia: “…”

Unlike Celia’s Status, Marni’s looked like she was an error herself, like a bugged NPC. Prior to this, Celia hadn’t ever seen someone’s Stats be this low.

Marni: “Straight 1s! Not even the weakest enemy in an RPG has Stats this depressing!!!” She yelled, stomping her foot on the ground, nearly slipping and falling back into the hole.

Celia: “Marni, it is just a bug. Those Goblins couldn’t damage you even slightly, and neither did this spike pit.” She calmly spoke as she prevented the re-fall, trying to coax the pouty Angel.

Marni: “Bug or not… my pride is hurt! Do please recall, Celia, that we Angels are very prideful beings.” She replied with a haughty tone.

Celia: “Are you prideful enough for me to leave you alone on this island without complaint? You’re being a bit too silly…” She asked with a lightly fed-up tone.

Celia had regained her past life memories, but not her Titles and Domain. Lacking those, Celia wasn’t as accepting and patient with women by default. If Marni weren’t her friend… Celia would be a bit rude in this discussion, perhaps even forceful.

Marni: “Please, no! I will have nightmares of those Goblins worthlessly hitting and biting me…” She pleaded, now holding onto Celia’s dress like her life depended on it.

Celia: “How long were they doing that for? I seem to remember… that location had a camp and everything. It was your camp, right?…” She asked with a concerned tone.

Marni: “…” “T-two weeks. How can I admit this to someone like Celia?! I refuse!!!” She secretly thought, mind in turmoil.

Celia: “Marni… you are more than strong enough to kill Monsters like Goblins in just one hit…” She added with a tone of disbelief.

Marni: “I didn’t know that I was still strong!…” She admitted, face now crimson as can be.

  Celia: “(- _ -)”
