Chapter 351 – Moon.

[Chapter Size: 2500 Words.]Third Person POV

  Uzushiokagure, 43....

  ...

On the following night, Minato went out into the middle of the garden of their house to contempte the full moon in the middle of the sky, just as he had predicted that this would be the best day to reach it and that the best time would be at that moment.

"Minato, you're pnning to go now, then?"

Hanabi appeared at his side, also watching the moon, followed by the other girls coming out through the front door of the house, including Mikoto, who was carrying little Itachi, wrapped in cloth so the boy wouldn't feel cold, his eyes filled with curiosity as he looked up at the sky while approaching with the others.

"Yes. I'll try to come back before dawn. After all, the moon will keep moving around the Earth, and I don't want to have to stop on the other side of the world, but it's inevitable that I'll have to nd somewhere else in the world and come back here."

  Minato said with good humor.

He waited until the time when the moon would be exactly in the center of the sky, at the point closest to them: exactly midnight.

The Uzumaki cn was practically all resting at that moment, but activities had not completely stopped on the isnd, with bars and shops still open. They were not as frantic as the people of Konoha, but they had their own forms of leisure.

After almost a year, they had grown accustomed to the new routine of the floating isnd. Civilians continued working, producing food on farms, taking care of animals, and doing business with one another, while the ninjas seemed more active, far more determined in their training. After what they had heard, they were training much harder.

The elders still held their meetings, and Minato and his wives were always invited to participate. However, he believed there was no reason to interfere in the Uzumaki's decisions. As long as they were not at war, as had happened before, there was no reason to give opinions about the cn. The cn belonged to them, after all. Allied or not.

Even so, Mu Uzumaki and even Masaki, the cn leader, came to Minato's house many times to visit him, reporting a few things and wanting to keep him informed about the cn's pns.

Kushina's mother also came to visit them frequently. She herself wanted to help Mikoto raise Itachi. Even though he was not her descendant, since he was not Kushina's child, she grew attached to the boy when Kushina brought him to her.

The woman naturally liked children and kept asking Kushina when she would finally have one, making the redhead blush at her mother's desire to become a grandmother, although Kushina expressed that she did want one, but preferred to wait a little longer.

Life was good in Uzushiogakure, but beyond the resources that the floating isnd itself still had, some things were cking, and Minato would sometimes trade for certain resources, leaving the isnd while infiltrated in the Land of Rice or in other countries farther south on the continent of the Elemental Nations, where they were currently located.

He could even hide on another continent, but they ended up choosing to stay in the sky. Either way, the cn was living in peace. They might not have their allies nearby, but they also had no enemies within reach, nor threats up there in the sky.

"Well, I'm heading out then," Minato said, facing his wives.

Another thing that had changed in the cn was that there was no longer a crowd of women running after him in hopes of winning his heart. They had come to terms with the reality that he already had wives and did not intend to add anyone else.

Even so, there was always a glimmer of admiration, a look from young single women that Minato could easily win over, but never did. For him, having his four wives — women he had known since childhood and for whom he harbored deep feelings, built over years of sharing their weaknesses and strengths, training, happy and sad moments — was more than enough and a good beginning for the Namikaze cn, with around five different powerful bloodlines.

Could Minato have asked for anything more?

  "Good luck."

  "Just be careful..."

  "Come back soon!"

"I and our son will be waiting for you, Minato."

Each of them murmured something to their husband.

To be honest, they had been questioning him all day about what he pnned to do on the moon. All of them had been anxious since they learned, the night before, that he would do that.

To the frustration of the four wives, Minato simply did not say what he intended to do. He only commented that he wanted to see the moon and check something, after having seen some 'records' in the secret documents of the Uzumaki cn.

There was, indeed, a real reason for Minato to be going there. The objective was precisely the cn that lived on the moon. From what he knew, the boy named Toneri should be living alone; he was the st of his cn.

Despite the women's fear of their husband simply disappearing off the pnet — something that, if it were anyone else saying it, they would ridicule, after all, who pns to simply travel to the moon? Who could really do that in the entire ninja world? — Minato was different. In the ninja world, no one would have that capability… except him, with the powers of his akuma no mi.

Thanks to his light fruit, Minato could truly shoot into the sky transformed into light, pass through every yer of the atmosphere until leaving the pnetary sphere, and travel easily through space.

Even with the dangers of the vacuum of space, with its ck of oxygen, due to his speed, no more than a few minutes would pass between leaving the world's atmosphere and reaching the moon. Besides that, there could be oxygen there, since a cn had lived there and, in the original work by Masashi Kishimoto, Naruto and Hinata had also been in that pce.

Either way, he finally transformed into light before everyone and shot into the sky like a shooting star from the backyard of his house, under the gaze of his wives.

Some members of the Uzumaki cn were surprised to see that light simply fly off toward the sky from somewhere on the isnd. Meanwhile, the girls watched Minato move farther and farther away, his light growing smaller as he rose, yet still standing out with the moon in the background.

"I still wonder what he's going to do up there," Tsuna murmured, crossing her arms and pouting.

"Well, whatever he pns to do, Minato always does the right things. We should trust him," Kushina said as if it were obvious. "After all, losing our husband is not an option."

"Where is that overly emotional Kushina, I wonder?" Mikoto commented, teasing Kushina.

"Tsk." Kushina clicked her tongue and lifted her nose.

"You've become so mature tely. I wonder when you'll finally have your children and become a mother," Mikoto teased again.

"I'll do that when I'm ready," Kushina replied simply.

The girls began to argue as they went back inside the house. As always, it was a war between them, but they always got along in the end.

They were not more worried than they should be about their husband simply going off the pnet. They believed he could handle anything or, if necessary, even teleport if he needed to, even if he was using a rge amount of chakra to travel so far. Still, Minato could always return, and his body was indestructible.

Meanwhile, in the pnet's atmosphere, the light continued rising and was no longer visible to those watching from the ground. The sky grew brighter, the stars standing out even more as Minato passed through the yers of the atmosphere, reaching their limit.

The darkness that filled the universe seemed to grow more intense, highlighting the stars more clearly and allowing celestial bodies that had not been visible before to be seen. Minato was still there, like a point within that beam of light, passing through the st yer before feeling his body become even lighter. There was no more gravity pulling him down.

He simply shot forward with even greater force. He did not fail to throw a few kunai marked with Hiraishin into the middle of space; if he needed to return, he would have an escape pn, leaving them floating there.

He did not know exactly what he would find on the moon, but even so, the light advanced like a shooting star, traveling a distance that, compared to the cosmos, was quite short from the pnet of the shinobi and its only satellite, artificially created as a sealing technique a thousand years ago.

Minato received the sunlight from the other side of the world and could not help but contempte the view of the sor system where he lived. Looking at the universe, he wondered where the ōtsutsuki came from. Certainly not from that sor system; they must come from another one, or even from another gaxy. He only wanted to understand how they managed to travel so easily through the universe when space was so vast. There, traveling between one sor system and another could take an entire lifetime — let alone between gaxies, which were also in constant motion as the universe expanded endlessly.

Either way, he didn't think much about it. The moon was already right in front of him, approaching rapidly, until the light collided with the surface, kicking up space dust. Feeling a bit of gravity return, Minato transformed back into his physical body.

He looked around and saw nothing but a desert covered in gigantic craters, some the size of the Uzumaki cn's vilge itself. Another thing he noticed was that he could actually breathe there. There was oxygen, indeed.

"How strange… there are no trees to produce oxygen here, yet..." Minato murmured, unable to understand the logic behind there being oxygen in that pce.

Either way, he released his Observation Haki, focusing and covering part of that region. He couldn't cover the entire moon, but within a radius of about twenty kilometers he could sense everything, especially now that his Haki was stronger, doubling the range of his perception after so many months of training.

"There's nothing here. I'll have to go to the other side," Minato murmured.

He began traveling about forty kilometers ahead before stopping again and expanding his Observation Haki, always covering a diameter of twenty kilometers, searching for where Toneri's cn had settled.

Minato searched for about thirty minutes until he finally found an entrance. It would take an entire day if he had to cover the whole moon, but he was lucky to find it soon after arriving, after a few dozen minutes of searching in a pce that had more than 3,474 km in diameter.

Minato went to the location. There was a hole that led to a cave, very well hidden. He entered the darkness, creating light with his index finger to illuminate the interior, until he finally found an entrance with a gate.

  "Very specific," he murmured.

There were several seals around the gate, preventing anyone from entering. Minato observed them for a while. He could easily destroy them, but he didn't. He simply transformed into light and traveled through the cracks in the gate, since the seals were not made to stop someone from entering that way, appearing on the other side as he continued forward, materializing once again.

Now he was in a pce clearly made by people. Walls and stairways were visible. Minato continued down the corridor and reached an enormous open cavern, where it was possible to see several houses scattered across a gigantic space.

There was a crystal on the ceiling of the colossal cavern, at least twice the size of Uzumaki Isnd, illuminating everything. That crystal likely came from sunlight, simuting the star itself for that pce; there were even farms outside the vilge area, though abandoned...

Minato observed everything in silence. He used his Haki and checked if there were people there. There was no one besides a single living soul...

"So… they're all dead. He's the only one," he murmured.

He simply moved straight toward the boy who, in the future, would certainly become a problem. The shock was immediate when Minato suddenly appeared in front of him as he was walking, making him jump backward in fright.

Toneri was searching for water and food once again, already accustomed to living alone there. He only wanted to survive and learn about the cn and its purpose, which he had discovered after reading all the documents left behind by the cn.

"Who are you?" he said immediately, taking a fighting stance.

Minato watched him after materializing. He was not as young as Minato had expected. He had the same appearance as the enemy Naruto had faced, perhaps a year older than Minato.

"You are Toneri ōtsutsuki, aren't you?" Minato asked, making the boy narrow his eyes despite the surprised glint in them.

"Who are you?" the boy repeated, quite cautious.

"Someone who came to ask a question," Minato replied simply, not allowing the boy to comment further, and continued: "Tell me, what do you think of the people who live in the world outside the moon, the descendants of Hagoromo?"

That caused a spark of anger to appear in the boy's gaze. "They are sinners who destroyed the essence of chakra," he replied easily. At least he was honest, as if that were his sole reason for continuing to live.

  Honestly na?ve, Minato would say.

"Do you think they deserve to be purified?" Minato asked.

"Yes," the boy answered without hesitation. "Now tell me who yo—"

He didn't even manage to finish. Minato simply raised his hand, and a sword materialized from his storage tools. He shot forward as he transformed into light. Everything happened in about 0.001 seconds. The man in front of him didn't even have time to react when Minato appeared behind him, after cutting his neck, materializing from light back into his normal body.

"I'm sorry, but I can't let you live. You are a danger to our world," Minato said simply, shrugging as he watched the boy lose his head and colpse in the next moment.

He could even have used that man in the future to fight against other members of the ōtsutsuki cn, but Minato was not Naruto. Not even the protagonist had managed to use Talk no Jutsu on that being. Eliminating him was the best way to deal with the problem before he became someone insane enough to try to throw the moon at the pnet, just as he had tried in Minato's memories.

Now, the next stage of Minato's pn was to collect the chakra and the genetics from the dead body. They would fit well in the body of a certain Hyūga woman he knew.
