Chapter 15 : Master Felix

"Why me?" Jyu was slightly frightened when facing Master Felix. Especially since he himself didn’t know what mistake he had made to the point that he was already being awaited by an older man whose face looked extremely terrifying.

"Sit! After years, finally, a special student has come to meet me."

Carefully, Jyu sat on the chair in front of Master Felix. However, he was confused, because he was considered a special student. Why?

  "Special! What do you mean?"

"You are intelligent. Not many Surcy return to life by accepting the memory of a weapon."

"So, for today’s lesson, tell me about your experience in the spirit realm."

Now Jyu felt more comfortable after knowing that he hadn’t made any mistakes at all. That was why he could tell his experiences in the spirit realm calmly and comfortably.

He told everything, starting from meeting Yomi, forging a sword from stones, fighting mystical creatures, including Tyrex with a goril face, until finding a teddy bear stored inside a cave.

Master Felix listened carefully to all of Jyu’s story. "So you broke the ????? stones in the Darkent realm to make a sword?"

"That was clever! I’m impressed with the way you survived in the Darkent realm."

Jyu blushed shyly when receiving that praise, "Thank you, Master Felix!"

"As I said before, not many Surcy return to life possessing the memory of a weapon. After 10 or 15 years, finally, there is another Surcy like that, and that is you."

This was quite a shocking fact for Jyu. But a condition like this was quite reasonable, because finding a weapon in the Darkent Realm was very difficult. It required special intelligence to create a weapon on one’s own.

Master Felix had indeed given sky-high praise to Jyu. However, after learning about the demon Kuma, Master Felix became slightly confused. Actually, he believed that the demon Kuma must possess a special power, but his physical condition as a doll was difficult to accept logically.

In a real battle, Kuma would certainly struggle to defeat his enemies, and might even become an easy target for them. Like what happened this morning, Kuma was easily defeated by Lucas’s demon.

Master Felix had already heard about the conflict between Jyu and Lucas. That was why he asked Jyu to expin Kuma’s strengths and weaknesses.

But Jyu didn’t want to be open with Master Felix; he preferred to conceal Kuma’s power.

"My demon has illusion power and striking force. I think that is an impressive advantage, but it depends on how I utilise this power so that it can effectively injure my enemies," said Jyu.

"Are there any other powers and weaknesses?" asked Master Felix with a hint of suspicion.

Jyu fell silent for a moment and then said, "That’s all of its power. Its weakness is its physical form as a doll."

Master Felix looked at Jyu seriously. But it seemed he chose to trust the young man in front of him. "Very well!" he said softly.

"Do you know your purpose for coming here?"

"To gain basic knowledge about the demon power system," Jyu answered hesitantly, because Wirtz himself hadn’t given any information when he ordered Jyu to visit Master Felix.

"Very well! I was indeed assigned to teach you various knowledge. But here, there is a special rule. I will answer all your questions that you write on paper, after that you may leave this pce," said Master Felix while pointing at the white sheet of paper lying on the table in front of Jyu.

Jyu was quite shocked. This was the most absurd rule he had ever encountered. In his mind, a teacher should provide all knowledge without any conditions. But without thinking it through, Jyu’s brain immediately began composing questions.

Jyu quickly wrote his questions on the paper, but he could only write three. No matter how hard he thought, no more ideas appeared in his mind.

He lost his patience and handed the paper to Master Felix immediately. Master Felix read it seriously while occasionally gncing at Jyu with a mysterious look.

"Very well, I will answer them one by one."

The first question, "Can ordinary humans see demons?"

In truth, demons or mystical creatures cannot be seen by ordinary humans. Only those who already possess demon power can see mystical beings. However, the existence of mystical creatures can have bad effects on humans. At a low level, they can only whisper to make humans commit evil. But mystical creatures of a high level can directly devour human souls. That is why the role of the DV Army is very important to prevent such things from happening.

The second question, "Can my demon be used to beat ordinary humans?"

When reading this question, Master Felix gnced at Jyu seriously. But a second ter, he immediately answered seriously as well.

It was expined that the demons of all DV Army soldiers can indeed be used to injure ordinary humans. However, the DV Army has its own rules. If such a thing happens, the soldier who viotes it will receive a sanction in the form of the death penalty or exile to the prison beneath the sea.

"I understand someone like you comes from the poor css, surely you have resentment. But I warn you, do not ever use your demon’s power to kill ordinary humans," said Master Felix firmly.

The third question, "What is a dimensional portal?"

Master Felix answered again, a dimensional portal is like a path that connects the world realm with the Darkent realm. But the DV Army itself still does not know for certain how this portal can be opened or closed. One thing that has been discovered, the opening of dimensional portals is always random, but they tend to open more often at sunset and during a lunar eclipse.

From the DV Army’s findings, mystical creatures cannot open dimensional portals in the Darkent Realm. But they can open dimensional portals in the world realm. That means they cannot freely enter the world realm, but they can return home whenever they wish.

"Why are you asking about dimensional portals? Have you ever seen one?" asked Master Felix.

Jyu was quite shocked when receiving this question. He realised that the question he had asked was not about his experience seeing a dimensional portal, but about the weakness of Kuma’s power. Yet Jyu was still reluctant to tell Master Felix; he chose to keep it secret.

"I have seen one while in the Darkent realm. A mystical creature appeared from a dimensional portal, badly injured. Does that mean DV Army soldiers beat them?"

Master Felix remained silent, only staring at Jyu with an empty gaze. Jyu also remained silent as he waited for an answer to his question.

The two of them now simply stared at each other. But Jyu then realized that his time was up; he had to leave immediately. The rule had already been expined earlier, Master Felix would only answer the questions written on the paper.

Without further words, he left the room. "Thank you, Master Felix, for your guidance."

Then Jyu had to wander again, this time to meet Master Jenna, who was in the first room. Jyu immediately knocked on the door.

"Come in!" said Master Jenna gently but firmly.

Jyu opened the door slowly. In an instant, his eyes widened sharply because the decoration of the room was truly terrifying. There were many demon ornaments, from masks and demon dolls to horrifying miniatures, that made the entire room feel like a horror scene.

Right in the middle of the room sat a woman, her back to Jyu. Slowly, she turned her seat around and smiled viciously when she saw Jyu.
