The High-Five of Air

She was unsure of what to say; only a pause happened in the moment. They stared at each other for a moment; it was quiet and calm. The atmosphere was pretty peaceful. From her friend's lips, she said, "Come this way.” His smile was gentle as the sway of the grass. Haurka felt confused as to why she was doing this; she had no hesitation because of how peaceful her smile was. It was the only thing that stood out in her mind. She said to herself, why aren’t there many people like her before people treat me like I don't matter? The only thought she could think of is the bully who seems fierce yet

Haruka said quietly, "How can someone not understand the world like that? Even I know she could be lying; she never told me the truth. If she did...how come I am suffering this fate?" She stared down, nearly staring at the grass that looked blue-ish green and had beautiful colors that stood out. She looked down, nearly trying to avoid her gaze at her friend, who seemed happy and alive. She gave her a wave and said, "I may not have understood your pain, but there's one thing: we've all been through the same thing..." Tears fell from her face. She said, "I wanted to be strong like my sister. She was pretty nice and confident. I really wanted to be very nice to someone, but instead, she died a pretty sad death. Her eyes were watery; she looked up and said, "My sister wants me to be a decent human and wants me to become happier by passing kindness." "Every time I do it, it makes me feel relieved. "Her smile was as bright as the cold sun that was peaceful, and it felt as if it was the only thing that relieved Haruka.

She said, "Haruka, I wanted to be friends with you because I felt truly bad for you. I wanted you to be happy, and ever since that bully really wanted you to be hurt, I thought of no other way to get close to you." Her voice was sincere yet carried no ounce of hatred. Her smile was blurry, covered up by fog as the butterflies flew across her face. She said, "Let's become friends till the end." The drop of water came down; multiple drops came down until there was nothing but darkness and drops of water that kept coming. She kept going further and further until she could not see her, but the only thing now painting the picture of her smile was her eyes that had the sky as their pupils, and her hair was now glowing as she remembered it. The fshback: she smiled at herself, pretty happy that she remembered her friend in this very same pce. The kids pyed in the park. She thought of it and said, "Mom." Her mother was confused and said, "What is it?" They both stared straight at the same park that used to be theirs but now is gone.

Then her mother said, "It's pretty to see you happy like this, Haruka." She reflected on her friend's smile and said, "Yeah, it is." She covered her eyes, tears finally coming down as she remembered her friend's smile. She said, "It's been a while, friend..." Then a golden light came down, and then she looked at her and said, "Farewell, Haruka..." She smiled at Haruka. She felt deeply touched, but then she said, "Live your life to the fullest no matter how hard it gets. I want you to be happy, and you’ve been a great friend." "I want you to know that no matter what people say about you." She cpped her hands together; faint memories of both of them smiling were now present from the past. Then they both looked like kids before who used to cp their hands together. This was the st goodbye until she smiled at her friend, now slowly turning into light, beautiful sparkles that her mother saw—nothing but her high-five air.

She smiled and said, "Mom, let's go home and get ready tomorrow and pass school so I can become a nurse." Her voice was pretty soft yet calm. Her mother heard this and said, "Yeah…let's…go…Haruka." Her voice was soft too. Both of them looked at each other with happy faces; it felt peaceful as they looked at each other. The sun had made the grass glow bright green; it felt both beautiful and peaceful to the person who had watched. They began to run to each other, and the grass swayed slowly and slowly until they had hugged each other. It was a peaceful moment of silence. People didn’t see this; it was only them alone. The kids now here had just walked away; there was nothing to be seen but a sweet, calm moment between the loves of the family.

She said while hugging, "We shared this moment until time was gone; it was only time that had passed." They looked at each other as the flowers began to glow white in the dark, and the stars are now glowing through the darkness. The bugs made mad sounds as the moon was full and beautiful. This was the moment between the family’s bonds. She said, "No matter what anyone says to you, Haruka, I just want you to know you will always be the best daughter I've had. No matter what the world treats you with, you will still be loved no matter what anyone says about you till the very end.”

They stared into the sky, and the stars were now everywhere at once. It was pretty outside; they stared into the sky that had fallen on them through the echoes of the dark night sky that had begun to become peaceful as the grass was now swaying on the ground. It was feeling the presence that they had made as friends who now are waiting for the dark sky to become more peaceful than the midnight sky. It was so dark that they could only see the lights of other buildings nearby this pce that is now covered in peaceful wind that has yet to come to terms with Haruka. It was a sign of the final goodbye between Haruka and her friend. She said, "No matter where you are, I will always cherish the memories we had when we were young until now." No matter where you go, you will always be in one pce, and that pce is my heart. As friends, you will always be the one who truly understands me,” her mind spoke out loud; it was peaceful memories.

Now the flowers flew, and she stared at her as the whole pce began to become more light as the sky was endless. As they both stared at each other, she ran slowly, passing the cloud that bounced on her foot, and then she fell down to her knees and hugged her friend for the st time in the sky, now filled with clouds, on her way to the afterlife. She cried hard, and she said, "I will never forget...you!!" Her throat hurt as she said this, and she said, "You will always be in my heart." She smiled softly, reassuring her, and said, "Then you will never be forgotten by me till the end.” The sky was now gone; she was now in the dark on the ground. In the fshback, now she was in the present with Hiroshi; they were now staring at each other.

She then said, "Hiroshi, thank you for doing this to me." Her voice was gentle yet soft. Hiroshi was now shocked and confused by this sudden smile, and he said, "Thank you too, Haruka. I hope you have a great summer. I always wanted you to be happy until the end." Hiroshi now walked and waved, and both walked away from each other. It was now summertime, the beginning of something to happen. Hirosh had walked all the way to his home and was greeted by his brother Takeshi. He said, "How was school? You seemed happy today. Have you been this happy?" He then looked up and stared; it's almost time to go camping. It's the beginning of summer.

Hiroshi went upstairs, passing and running, and before something happened, his mother said, "Are you doing something?" Her voice was curious. Hiroshi said, "Well, my girlfriend is coming with us to the camp.” He tried to act nervous, like looking away slightly and putting his head down, and his mother widened from shock. She said, "Girl...friend? Huh??” Then his brother was shocked and said, "Huh? Did I just hear something?" He ran up, but instead he hit his head while he was in his camping clothes. Then he said, "I've got to hurry." He dashed from his room and went past his PC to his closet, and it creaked. It is now the beginning of the summer. Hirosh said, "Aya, you’re coming with me. I'll just tell my mother that you’re my girlfriend.
