Travestita walked out of a restaurant as she yawned. She had just completed a mission and came here to eat a good dinner since this place was famous for its dishes.
It was Moe's delight.
Opening her umbrella, she felt the heavy rain on it. It was really raining today. Not the usual kind of rain, but extreme one as if god was crying from the sky.
Of course, the normal kind around here is basically a heavy rain anywhere in the world. And of course, a heavy rain in Night Light is basically a storm.
'Why did they name it Night Light even though we can't see the sky most of the time?' She wondered.
'Whatever.'
She decided that she would just think of it when she got home and kept on walking to her destination. Thinking of what she'll do tonight, her mind became fuzzy for a second and right in that moment her eyes caught a gun in the corner, aiming at her.
Looking at it, she suddenly dodged to the right. However, the shooter was expecting it and aimed right, right before she dodged.
Luckily, she had her arms in front of her face and the enhanced Uncoiled's body barely made the bullet stuck in the fresh. Guns in this era were extremely powerful as a single bullet could easily go through ballistic gel.
Despite this, people had found a way to defend against bullets well. The bullets were really powerful, however compared to the defensive capability, it was weaker than before.
Unfortunately, the human body did not evolve to tank bullets.
Resisting the pain, she dashed to the attacker as they shot another bullet. This time, Travestita managed to knock the gun out of their hand in exchange for getting her hand shot.
She got him into a choke hold as he struggled before he passed out. She was planning to ask a few questions but she didn't for one simple reason.
He saw through the disguise.
Currently, she was wearing a disguise that made her look completely different from her usual appearance. Unless the attacker was shooting random people, he most likely knew her or had likely seen her going together with the members and used that to figure it out.
She wasn't sure if he was a hitman or someone from an organization but she knew he was a threat to ask in the public.
In the midst of the rain, she heard a loud explosion that was almost covered up by the rain
***
Hitomi heard the explosion before looking in the general direction. She stopped walking and quickly checked the security cameras to see Julo, still in his outfit, running towards the building. She was sure the others heard it as well due to the fact that they weren't that far apart.
She suddenly became worried and tried to run towards the building. Unfortunately, the building was currently far away from her. She estimated that it would take a while before she gets there. However, her legs failed before she could do so.
She fell down and her entire body was almost non-functioning. Confused at the situation, she tried to reset her body but it still didn't work. However, she didn't have time to process what happened as the punch landed on her back.
She felt the pain go through her body and the person kept repeatedly punching her in a few vital spots. Luckily, she was a cyborg and the normal human vital spots didn't really apply to her. Of course, it would if they hit him enough times.
It wasn't like she could be fully considered a cyborg. Heck, she could even be called a half an Android due to the body parts she had replaced. Most of her body had been replaced by machines but it was out of necessity since she would be long gone without them. The only fully non machine part was her heart due to the fact that she didn't need to modify the heart.
The person seems to have noticed that his attacks weren't working and stopped for a while, thinking of a way to quickly end her.
She tried to move again but the result was only slightly different. She could move some parts of her body, even so she couldn't move as much as before.
Hitomi realized that the attacker's Versile most likely worked like Julo and started desperately thinking of a counter to it. Most of her ability came from her body's built in tools and since his Versile turned most of her tools off, she was basically defenseless.
Luckily, she could get used to it and move like the usual if she was given enough time which is currently difficult.
Looking at her, the attacker put his hands around her neck before attempting to choke her. Fortunately, Hitomi managed to move her body and punched them in the face with full force.

The attacker, who was not expecting this, took the full force of the punch and fell on his back. Trying to get back on his feet, he covered his face with his hands to inspect the damages.
He didn't expect her to recover that quickly. Despite this, Hitomi was still dazed by the attack, and couldn't move much. The same goes for her power since she heavily relied on her hardware to fight enemies. And, she couldn't do that for a few obvious reasons.
Backing off from the standing cyborg, he decided to attack her with a burst attack to the cyborg brain since an enhanced brain was the hardest and the most crucial part to disable.
Staring at him, she instantly felt the need to attack when he stopped backing away.
She charged at him before lunging at his chest. While in motion, she felt a massive headache as she connected the punch.
But both of the attacks worked. Hitomi's punch connected which in turn damaged him a lot as he fell to his knees.
However, the attacker's attack also worked as Hitomi was temporarily unable to do anything due to her mind being full of intense pain. The pain was the second worst thing she had experienced, only barely beaten by getting her brain enhanced.
Being unable to move or think, she was even more defenseless than before. Even though the attacker was temporarily dazed, he was still using his Versile while his pain would slowly fade away. However, just as he almost regained his composure, his hand suddenly moved on his own.
Dumbfounded, he looked behind to see a person with dark green hair and brown eyes. It was Lent.
He looked at him. intensely before lunging at him. He tried to dodge but the pain wasn't fully away yet and got hit in the stomach this time. The force wasn't that great as the cyborg but it was still enough to put him through even more suffering.
He tried to cover it but his hands moved again and covered his face, instead.
He coughed up a liquid and looked up to defend against the next attack. His Versile wasn't really good for close quarter combat and now that there were two, which was unexpected, the only option he had was to buy some time and run away.
The hands moved up again. This time, trying to punch himself in the face, but he was expecting this and quickly distorted it.
Lent looked at him carefully and attempted to punch him again. He dodged the attack, however the fist somehow managed to change direction midair and went straight to his head. Despite this, it missed by a large margin as if Lent didn't calculate which direction he would be.
He did.
His Versile altered the direction his fist was going to go and in turn missed.
Landing on his feet, he backed up from Lent and got ready to defend once again. Staring at him, he kept calculating which direction his opponent would go and started thinking of a counter in advance.
Lent's body became relaxed as he looked at him.
He was a bit confused but decided to take advantage of him by preparing to lunge forward.
Just as he got ready, someone grabbed and snapped his neck.
Lent wasn't staring at him, he was staring at Hitomi. Looking at the corpse, he reminded himself to remember his surroundings.
He took a deep breath.
"Was it necessary?" He asked.
"I'm not taking any risks." She replied.

'I wondered what we're gonna do today.'
Stark thought while waiting for her. He was really worried that he did something wrong since she had just ghosted him yesterday.
Thinking of if he should ask about it, he decided against it as he probably was just paranoid as usual.
Feeling the rain pour onto his clothes, he regretted not bringing an umbrella or a raincoat.
'It can't be helped.'
He hated thunder. Although he didn't get scared by them as easily as the others, he still hated the noise it made due to the reason that it was really annoying to hear.
'She sure is taking her tim-' Just as he almost managed to fully form these thoughts, a dagger with no welder suddenly jumped in his direction, aiming for his heart.
He tried to dodge out of reflex, however he couldn't fully dodge it as it went through his left shoulder.
He looked at the attacker and saw an unidentifiable person with a mask. They looked like an assassin but Stark knew that real assassins mostly don't wear clothes like that.
The dagger in his shoulder moved on its own and pulled itself out, into the attacker's hand.
Stark clenched his fist and started thinking of the possibility his opponent's Versile could be.
Looking at their hand, he concluded that their Versile most likely had to do with return an object to their hands.
A space domain Versile.
Stark really hated dealing with the mind and space domain as they were the most tricky one to counter. And it didn't help that his Versile was only a physical enhancement and not a cool superpower like the others.
They attacked again, leaving Stark with no time to think further as he attempted to dodge.
The dagger went beside him as the attacker threw it. However, it changed direction mid air as the attacker's hand swung to their right.
Stark quickly realized this and blocked it with his hand before trying to kick them.
Unfortunately, the attacker dodged and pulled the dagger out of his hand.
Two wounds.
Stark was quickly losing an unholy amount of blood that didn't make any sense.
He tried to cover the wound with a ripped piece of clothing but that only made another wound pop up on his body as they attacked again.
Getting wounds after another, he realized another thing.
The dagger was poisoned.
Specifically, it was poisoned with a drug that made blood unable to clog. Their plan was most likely to wound him a lot and retreat.
Realizing this, he stopped covering the wound and lunged straight on. The attacker, who was expecting this, dodged and threw the dagger.
Stark reached out for it and caught it with his hand before throwing it to the ground behind him.
He lunged forward only for them to dodge and back up. They were now a distance away from him.
He bursted forward and raised his hand to punch again when the attack grinned and moved their hand.
The dagger, which was behind him, suddenly moved and headed straight for his head.
That's when Stark ducked down and the flying dagger missed the target before wedging itself straight into the attacker's throat.
They fell down as Stark breathed heavily and looked down on his body to find it covered in blood.
'Shit.' He had lost too much blood in the fight.
"Stark?" He heard a familiar voice behind him.
He turned around with the energy he barely had left and looked at the person.
"Ah." He mumbled.
A long brown hair girl with brown eyes was standing in front of him.
He looked down to see a banquet of flowers. He extended his arms and grabbed the flowers.
Smelling them, he looked up and smiled.
"They're nice." That was the last word he managed to say before losing consciousness.
"Stark? Stark!" The girl screamed, not bothering to look at a different person laying down.
She quickly called the ambulance as she hugged his body.
