He walked on his way home as his work hours were over. The man in work clothes looked around in the rain with his umbrella before switching to his left hand to hold the umbrella due to his hand being tired.
He hated the umbrella, not because it wasn't effective but because it was simply too annoying for him to carry. He wished he had gotten a raincoat but it couldn't be helped that he wasn't unable to find it when it started raining.
He sighed.
'This place sucks. It's always raining.' He thought.
He wished to move to another city but since he was a dad and paired with the fact that it hasn't been long since he had moved here, he couldn't for obvious reasons.
It wasn't like he was rich. In fact, he had to work until 2 am to pay the loan for the travel to here.
He went up to his door and proceeded to knock on it.
He shook his head and took out the keys after realizing that they probably couldn't hear the knock because of the rain.
He opened the door to a bright house and walked straight to his bedroom. He looked at his child's room before deciding to check.
The man looked inside and didn't see anyone there. He thought nothing of it before checking his wife's room.
"Hey honey." He called out to his wife who was sitting on her bed with her son.
"Hi dad!" The kid replied instantly, energetically.
He went up to his wife before kissing her on the forehead, only to feel a sticky liquid on his face. Opening his eyes to ask what it was, he gasped as he violently propelled himself into a wall.
The wife's face was drenched in a mysterious black liquid and her eyes were like half cooked egg yolks. She was smiling with one of her eyes dripping from her mouth.
He looked at the kid beside her and suddenly felt relief. His kid was safe.
However, it didn't last long as his mouth was wide-open soon after.
The kid transformed into a shadowy humanoid with abnormal limbs and shapes. The shape was changing size and position constantly as it grew closer to him.
He looked at the bottom of the bed and saw his son's corpse before his sight turned back to the thing.
"Wha- What are you?" He mumbled.
It stopped and stared at him in pity before replying.
"I am the god of everything." It smiled.
He covered his face as his body started turning inside out and before long his eyes turned black and stood still.
Just like her.

Hitomi stared at the person and launched another attack in a span of one second. However, he was still able to react as he dodged the bullets.
And the ones that were able to get near him failed to hit.
She was ready to overclock her hardware when an unsettling pulse suddenly emitted from down below.
Every pulse was extremely unnerving with every few seconds.
She wasn't quite hearing it either. She was rather feeling it.
Like her heartbeat, she could feel the pulse but could she rarely hear it. Of course, that was the case until she became an Android.
She quickly regained her focus before looking straight again to find the person standing there.
He wasn't doing anything instead just looking at an imaginary void.
She took advantage of his confusion like behavior and tried to overclock. Her eyes glowed red as her body started to heat up when an intense feeling entered her mind before losing every feeling in every limbs.
Due to the loss of feeling, she fell down and broke his nose. However, her fall made Hitomi coincidentally turn her eyes to the members.
The fall made her realize why the attacker was standing still as the members were doing the same. She thought that the attacker was dazed from the strange pulse, however it seemed like he wasn't the only one.
In fact, the members' conditions were worse as some were on the ground and a few were on their knees.

Overclocking her hardware increased her power and due to that it increased her sensitivity to Versile related matters. Despite the fact that her normal sensitivity was almost nonexistent, her sensitivity still increased to 50 percent of a normal Uncoiled's sensitivity.
Yet, the pulse was strong enough to make her lose control in her limbs even at 50%. Of course, part of it was due to the sudden increase in sensitivity but still.
She looked at the attacker, hoping he wouldn't recover. Unfortunately, he did.
Her eyes were filled with fears as she attempted to overclock again to no avail due to the double overclock a day.
He looked at the members briefly before turning back. He hesitated to retreat but he did know that it was the optimal choice, so he did.

"Gino! You hear me?"
He turned his head from the window and to the computer before replying.
"Yes. What is it?" His voice was loud and clear unlike before.
Gino didn't answer the call and despite that it still answered itself. That was one of the feature higher-ups had. Gino wasn't going to complain about it since it was really useful in case of an emergency.
"We have detected a forceful clash of Versile pathways near the group."
Gino's body stiffened as he got closer to the monitor and opened an app that was currently displaying the group's location.
"You will have to go there. They allowed it."
"I'll also have to come over to protect the files."
Gino said a simple yes before jumping out of the window to get there. It wouldn't take long for him to be there but a few minutes could mean life or death in this world.
He had personally experienced it.

Julo kept on crawling as fast as he could but that was proving to be insufficient as the flesh being was catching up to him.
Fortunately, it seemed like the person that tried to kill the kidnapper was on his side as she attempted to repeatedly shoot it.
It was slowing it down, however it still wasn't enough. The being was only targeting Julo and Julo only. It wasn't reacting to the lady beside it that was purposely slowing it down nor did it care about the blood spraying all over the wall.
All it cared about was killing Julo.
The amount of resentment a person must have to try to kill someone even after their death wasn't small. Unfortunately, it happened to Julo.
Of course, what Julo did was just for survival, it wasn't like he had any other choices. He was just simply choosing the optimal choice.
However, choosing the optimal way still resulted in him getting chased by a being he couldn't describe but it was still better than certain death.
It got even closer to Julo after a couple of minutes but he was near the entrance already. The light of the sun was drawing closer to his eyes before he turned the door into a liquid.
"Julo!" He heard someone call his name and opened his eyes wide to see the members looking at him, some were smiling.
However, the smiles faded as Travestita noticed the being and quickly carried him out of the monster's way. However, it suddenly jumped at her, with a speed boost.
Travestita zoomed past the members and they both hit the wall on the other side of the room at a speed the other members couldn't go. Other than Hitomi at maximum overclock and Gino, of course.
She couldn't control the speed burst due to panicking and instantly trying to escape from danger and now both of them have several bruises now. Mainly, Julo.
It ran past the members and straight to Julo on all fours. The lady shot it a few times in a second but it wasn't as effective anymore.
A person crashed through the window and hit it square in the face with his legs at full force. It lunged towards the other side of the room with great speed.
Julo looked at the monster that got propelled and looked back at the person that entered before smiling.
It was Gino.
He had a face that was of joy. A person might see him and think of him as a battle creep but that wasn't the case. He was just happy to see the members safe.
Surprisingly, he wasn't smoking a cigarette as always.
Julo thought he had managed to go without cigs for one day but that thought was destroyed as soon as he took out his pack before taking out one.
He sighed and looked back at it coming towards him. This time, he wasn't as worried as before. The reason was obvious enough.
Blue lights glowed briefly around Gino's hand as he clenched them tightly.
His legs burst with incredible speed that Julo's eyes couldn't follow as his fist was already on the flesh being. One, two, three, four, five, that was the amount he had hit the creature in a matter of seconds. The force behind each attack left a dent on the floor as he repeatedly made small shockwaves.
Every time, right before a punch connects his fist glows blue and the impact lands even though his hand was touching.
This went on for half a minute before the flesh being was reduced to blood.
He looked at Julo and his eyes turned blue. However, this blue couldn't be seen by the members.
Julo's Versile pathways became visible to him and he observed it carefully.
"What?" He mumbled.
Julo's Versile pathways were gone. Disappeared like thin air. There was nothing in its place and yet there seems to be a hole in nothing. The hole was slowly expanding but it was a lot slower than before.
Gino was still worried but he couldn't do anything about the hole. He could only hope he would reach Spread before the hole became deadly.
He shook his head and checked everyone in the room, including the backup. The backup was an interesting person due to the fact that she only uses enhanced bullets and a gun.
It was quite effective but it had some downsides.
"Captain?" Travestita asked.
"Yeah yeah, let's go out now." He replied instantly and went out.
The members shrugged and followed him out. The backup was faster than all of them excluding Gino but this time she was walking like the rest of them.
Looking at the rain outside, Julo chuckled a little.
'I thought there was sunlight outside the basement door but it turned out to be rain, huh.'
He looked at Hitomi and asked her about the time.
"It's 2 am."
He looked at Gino and opened his mouth to say something but he was interrupted by Gino.
"Let's have a feast, today." He said with the usual tone.
Julo was confused and quickly tried to tell him about the time and the blood on their clothes.
"Don't worry." He replied with no additional words.
"What?" Julo didn't have the chance to wait for a reply and the members followed Gino. He stayed in the back for a while before Travestita with all of her makeup removed called him to follow.
As he stepped into the rain, the pressure instantly got rid of blood on his clothes and basically pressure washed his clothes.
'Oh that's what he meant.'
"Also Julo. Eat well today because you're gonna be getting trained tomorrow." Gino turned around with a wet cigarette in his mouth.
They both stared at each other for a second before Julo broke the silence.
"What?! I'm gonna get trained?!"
"Of course, you're weak. That's why all of us will be training you until you're capable enough."
He replied and kept walking.
'...I'll....have to.....train?' He thought with despair.
"Heh, I can see the despair on your face." Travestita laughed at him before walking right behind Gino.
Julo's mouth twitched.
