In a world where everyone is special thanks to Quirks, the battle between Heroes and Vilins continued.
Izuku Midoriya was born into a simir world, and his dream is to become a Hero, just like his favourite and most admired: All-Might, the Symbol of Peace, who helps people with a smile.
His mother, Inko, has always supported him in his own small way, and with his best friend, Katsuki Bakugou, he promised to become a Hero together. Everything seemed perfect.
?I'm sorry, ma'am, but your son is Quirkless.?
The news was a bolt from the blue for Izuku. True, there are still cases where people do not own Quirks, but after four generations since the first ones appeared, society has now developed around Quirk bearers, which comprise approximately 80% of the world's current popution.
And now, Izuku has been decred a Quirkless by Dr Tsubasa, shattering his dream in the bud.
"D-doctor, are you sure?!" asked Inko, surprised and worried.
"I'm sorry, Mrs Midoriya," Tsubasa stated regretfully, then pointed to an X-ray. "As you can see, due to the two joints in the little toe, your son will not develop Quirk in the future."
The return home was very quiet, and Izuku's shocked face did not change a single moment. Turning on his computer, Izuku watched the video of All-Might again, in which he rescued dozens of civilians, smiling and inspiring confidence in those who watched him.
His mother saw him and, noticing her presence, Izuku turned towards her. The expression was the same as the one he had when he received the news, but with tears streaming down his cheeks. Pointing to the screen and trying to sketch a smile, Izuku asked her a question.
?Mom, I can still become a Hero, right??
?......Sorry, Izuku *Sob*. Forgive me *Sob*?
Those apologies and his mother's tears were the only responses he had. His mother was sincerely mortified by the terrible news and her impotence.
Adding salt to the wound, news of his being Quirkless also affected his social life. Yesterday, he was treated like any other child, but now that his fate is known, he is treated like air or bullied... and his best friend Katsuki, turned into his executioner.
Such a scene would have plunged anyone into despair. But Izuku persevered; he didn't want his dream to die. His desire to become a Hero continued to burn. He endured harassment, studied diligently, and his mother supported him as best she could, but his life had become incredibly difficult.
In his sixth year, something terrible happened.
A Vilin on the run from Heroes for stealing experimental technology entered the school where Izuku was enrolled.
?Damn Heroes!? the Vilin excimed, appearing out of nowhere in the cssroom.
His presence caused panic in the cssroom, and the Vilin, noticing the approaching Heroes, decided to take at least one child hostage to escape the situation. His hand was about to reach Katsuki when Izuku, in a moment of courage, despair or madness, attacked the Vilin to protect him.
?Don't touch Kacchan!" he screamed, charging and hitting him.
?You little-!!! Come here!?
The Vilin took Izuku, not realising that, as events unfolded, he had struck and compromised what he had stolen. However, he took Izuku as a hostage in time as the pursuing Heroes found him immediately afterwards.
?Let that child go!? ordered one of the Heroes
?Like hell!? he excimed ?Unless you want a child on your conscience, let me-?
Bzzzt! Bzzzzt!!!
The stolen equipment is an experimental bracelet whose function was to transport objects and people immediately, regardless of obstacles, a kind of teleportation. What the Vilin didn't know was that it was incredibly delicate and unstable, and combined with Izuku's action, this began to generate those electrical noises with greater intensity.
"Damn junk!" the Vilin cursed, hitting the bracelet.
That blow was enough to permanently derail the object, and a dark portal was generated by sucking both the Vilin and Izuku into it. The Heroes who arrived on the scene attempted to rescue Izuku, but the portal closed before they could reach him.
He doesn't know how much time has passed inside that portal. It could have been seconds as well as hours, but for him it was an instant, and together with the Vilin, he emerged into a world of golden light, blinding and oppressive.
He doesn't know why, but it costs him a great deal of effort just to open his eyes. He heard the Vilin near him screaming in pain and terror, an inhuman scream accompanied by the sound of something crumbling. When he finally opened his eyes, his mind recorded only steps, a skull girded with golden urel, and a strange but comfortable warmth before fainting from the immense pressure on his mind.

The air he was breathing now was different. Smell of paper, of burnt wax, and the air seemed... stagnant. As if the pce it's in hasn't been aired in weeks. But the pressure, the presence on his head that assailed him when he arrived at that golden pce, had eased if not directly become imperceptible.
When he opened his eyes, Izuku saw a ceiling never seen before, of gothic workmanship with naves built of marble and gold finishes, the same metal with which many symbols were also built, among which that of a two-headed eagle stands out.
His sleeping body felt a weight, and when he raised his head, he saw that he was covered by a heavy bck cloak with gold trim and decorations. Looking around, he saw that he had slept on a solid wooden table and was surrounded by bookcases full of heavy tomes, some old and fragile, illuminated by blue lights that seemed to affect the books. In burial niches, there were busts of men and women with a solemn but hard expression. Among the bookcases, tapestries, and banners held by the ever-present two-headed eagle were some bck, some purple, some white, and some red, all with an ever-changing central symbol.
?Video te vigire, iuvenis.? (I see you woke up, young man.)
A deep voice spoke, and when he turned his gaze toward the source, he saw a dark-skinned man with a sculpted face that would make many women's hearts beat, a well-groomed grey beard, and dark eyes that were penetrating, attentive, devoted, and rich in wisdom. He wears a simple bck robe and is intent on reading and transcribing something, but beneath those garments, Izuku couldn't help but notice a toned and defined muscuture, even much more massive than All-Might's, but strangely proportionate to the body. The man put down that kind of pen and stood up, proving himself to be a giant by human standards.
He approached until he stopped a few steps from the table on which he had been pced, his penetrating and, for some reason, cautious eyes studying him.
?Quis es? Quomodo ad Thronus Aureus pervenisti?? (Who are you? How did you reach the Golden Throne?)
He couldn't understand what he was saying, and his heart was now pounding, frightened by the man's presence. No, not scared. Terrified to the point that his senses failed... again.
He doesn't know how much time has passed, but he wakes up again in the same spot where he first woke up. Turning around, he noticed how the giant from before was still there, but this time he was sitting, reading a heavy leather-covered tome.
?Aesoth Koumadra? spoke the giant, closing the book and pointing to himself, ?Capitaneus-Generalis Adeptus Custodes, custodum Thronus Aureus et protectorum Imperatoris Humanitatis. Quis es??(Captain-General of the Adeptus Custodes, guardians of the Golden Throne and protectors of the Emperor of Mankind. Who are you?)
Of the whole sentence, Izuku understood that it was a presentation, and the first two words were the man's name.
"Izuku. Izuku Midoriya."
?Izuku Midoriya, huh? Nomen insolitum. Nomen antiquum. Asiaticum...? (Strange name. An ancient name. Asian...) the man reflected as he massaged his beard.
