After a brief rest, the carriages were filled again, and the journey continued.
Marcus did not talk much but thought about what he could do and understand more about the world.
He also knew that there are a lot of things that he needed to think of due to how dangerous the world is, and he doesn't know how much things have changed compared to the game.
First of all, he knew that if he were to have an encounter with Daedric Princes, he would be good as dead.
“That would be a pretty gruesome end.”
“I should focus on not gathering attention from those beings to myself.”
“Almost all Daedric princes are dangerous, but the most dangerous one of them is, for me at the very least, Hermaeus Mora due to my knowledge of Elder Scrolls lore and, not to mention, a whole different universe.”
“I believed CHIM worked by one understanding of the game not being real and even after understanding the reality is just some sort of a simution, but still accepting and believing that they are real.”
“I may need to look into Vivec and what he created.”
Marcus thought.
At that time, he heard some commotion outside. Arges and others opened their eyes from resting.
Marcus left the carriage as the carriage stopped and went forward to understand what was happening.
He then noticed there were boulders on their way out.
“A bandit trap?" Marcus thought.
This was one of the things they have done to stop carriages from moving forward.
“Either they are too desperate or powerful if bandits want to try their chance with such a huge crowd of people.”
Marcus thought and then looked around.
“It will take two hours to clean this…” "Caravan Master," he said as he looked annoyed.
Marcus went to his side and then asked.
“You know who did this?"
Caravan Master looked at Marcus for a moment and then nodded.
“I don't know the details, but it is a simple action that some of the bandits take.”
“I don't think their target was us, as we are too big of a target and too much of a risk and capable of fighting back.”
“But, still, it is a problem we need to deal with.”
Marcus nodded and then said nothing while guards and some of the other people started bringing in ropes to clean the way for the carriages.
There were a lot of stones, and their sizes were big, so it did take some time before the people moved forward.
After the way opened, the caravan continued on their way, and there was nothing that could be said to be unusual.
Other than occasional stalking by the wolves, there was no danger.
Even wolves and wild animals are not foolish enough to try to attack 150 people travelling all together.
While the carriages continued to move, a man and a woman at the top of a hill looked at the carriages from a long distance.
“They would have many gold ornaments on them, am I wrong?" said the woman in bck robes, with a skull on it as well as a huge animal cloak to provide some warmth.
The man nodded.
“Yeah, but we are just two novice necromancers; do you think that we are capable of threatening such a huge caravan?"
The woman smiled.
“We are not by ourselves, but we can go and meet with Rodrick and the Legion Bandits…”
“These two, with our power, would have the power to take them on with not much of a problem.”
The man thought for a moment and let out a cold breath as he felt the cold and then said it.
“Rodrick and his bandit group and the Legion Bandits were never at good odds.”
“I am not sure if we can form a group together to attack.”
The woman ughed.
“In the end, those people are bandits; if they see that they can take whatever those people have, they will agree to form a temporary group to have enough power to take down those people.”
“As you can see, those carriages are pretty good quality; I can easily say that every person paid at least ten to fifteen septims.”
“Just getting that amount shared among the people is a great payday for everybody."
“Not to mention things that they are carrying.”
“You know it…”
The man thought for a longer moment and then added.
“You are not wrong. We do not have resources to keep on trying to study corpses and gain more knowledge about our studies of death…”
“It would be great if we had more septims…”
The woman then grinned and said nothing.
The man smiled.
"Let's go meet with those bandits and tell them about our pn. If we make it right, we would not need to do anything to get ten to fifteen percent of the total worth that carriage is carrying.”
“Not to mention the corpses, the bones, and the organs we could take from the dead."
The woman nodded.
“That is the point…”
