62. The Warrior

  GENTLE BREAKER!!!

Ken was forced to attack the brown-haired guy as he was overpowering the chaos prince. Chaos Prince did his best to put up a fight against him, but when things were getting worse, Ken used his move.

The brown-haired guy didn’t expect it either and was stunned by the attack, even though it didn’t do him a lot of damage.

“I will help you out, don’t say anything. Just fight with me for now,” Ken told the chaos prince.

“What’s going to happen? This place is full of chaos. I have to save everyone somehow and escape.” Ken is thinking about the next few hours.

“Where are you, Harkeeeyy?” he was hoping for his entry.

“I don’t have any other choice, I am not strong enough,” the chaos prince thought, after Ken’s words.

“Let’s end this quickly, Ken,” he muttered.

“I don’t want to kill both of you. If you agree to accompany me, I won’t hurt you,” the brown-haired man told them.

“Are you fine with this?” he asked.

“I won’t accompany a person like you. I have my own friends,” Ken replied, and ran forward to attack.

  OCCULT BURST!!

Ken used his recently created move, but it didn’t go his way this time.

  Moved away!!

  Sound of footsteps!!

“It must be the soldiers, that means...” Andrew thought, after hearing it.

“I should do something,” he muttered, and picked up a sword that was nearby him.

“I should help them,” Galen thought the same.

“Ken, I will clearly the way, and fight with whoever is on the other side, come quickly,” Andrew muttered, exited the entrance.

Galen couldn’t move properly, but he refused to give up and began walking towards the entrance.

“I will help him,” Galen told Ken.

Medrick stood there, realised that he was the one who led them into this problem.

“They are not fine, what should I do?” Ken is questioning his choices.

  BLOCK!!

The brown-haired blocked the slash of the chaos prince.

“Galen, go inside and save that commander, Anders,” Ken told him.

“I will think of a plan to escape from here,” he added.

Galen stopped there, nodded to Ken’s words and began running with his low energy towards the place where the scarred man was fighting.

"Medrick, go and help Galen, he is not fine, protect him," Ken told Medrick.

  Medrick accepted and followed Galen.

“This is getting interesting,” the brown-haired thought.

“Ken, go ahead and do whatever you want. I will manage him for some time, try to come up with a plan,” Chaos Prince told him.

Ken doesn’t want to leave him, but he had no choice; he didn’t know what to do, and stood there thinking.

“What am I doing here? Why is everyone helping me?” he questioned.

“I am the sole reason for this. I don’t know if we can survive, but somehow I cannot feel the pressure and panic.” he stood there, staring at the ceiling.

“Is this what having friends like? I feel like I am not alone, I am not like this, last year, but now I don’t know anything, yet I am not afraid,” he went into deep thinking mode.

“What’s he doing there?” The brown-haired guy was confused by Ken’s actions.

The days when he felt alone, the days he ran out of fear for the future, the days when he felt like dust, came to his mind.

He couldn’t hear the noises of the people shouting outside the prison, the clashing of the swords; he couldn’t hear anything.

He felt light, yet he couldn’t take his feet off the ground; his mind felt silent even though the atmosphere was exactly opposite there.

  “KEN…” Chaos Prince shouted.

Ken blinked his eyes, felt the shock through his spine, and returned to the present state.

“What are you doing?” Chaos Prince asked.

“Sorry, I will help them,” Ken replied.

He began smiling, even though he didn’t want to. His heart felt light all of a sudden; he felt fresh.

Then, he ran towards the other side to help out Andrew.

  10 minutes before,

  Outside the prison,

The soldiers commanded by the knight blocked the way out of prison. Harkey was still watching their moves.

“They are blocking all paths, I should—” Harkey thought.

“It doesn’t matter who you are, weak or strong, as long as you have the will,” he remembered Andrew’s words when he told him long ago.

He also remembered the motivating words of Ken and Galen.

  After a few seconds,

“I might be weak, cowardly sometimes, but it doesn’t determine who I am,” he muttered.

“I am the one who chose to live this way, so I am the only one who can change the path that I am pursuing,” he said to himself, walking out.

Harkey doesn’t know what he is thinking or what he is speaking, but he knows that his time arrived.

He walked to the middle of the ground.

“Before you guys get in, defeat me,” Harkey shouted, getting all the attention towards him.

All, including the knight, shifted their focus towards him.

He stood there holding a sword with his right hand.

A lot of thoughts were going on in his mind. His heart is beating faster and faster every second, and his legs are freezing in the cold.

“I never wielded a sword in a fight, but that would change today,” he thought.

The field was completely silent for a minute.

Everyone was staring at him. He was alone there, ready to fight hundreds of men. The environment, the trees felt the guts shown by him.

His eyes told the whole story from fear, to hope, to courage, and now to fight.

Then, five soldiers ran towards him.

The knight didn’t worry a bit when he saw Harkey; it was more of a shock than a worry for him.

“This is the time, the time that I have practised for,” Harkey thought, seeing the soldiers run towards him.

He pushed his right leg back, grounded his left leg tightly, and came to the attacking position that he learned during his training with Vittario.

  SLASH!!

He swung his sword in a perfect flow from right to left at a precise timing, and cut down the soldiers when they approached nearby.

The edges of the sword were extremely sharp. It doesn’t look like a normal sword at first glance.

“WOW! That felt smooth,” Harkey was stunned too.

The soldiers standing near the prison felt the slicing, and they were shocked, just like their knight, who didn’t see this coming.

“That is not a normal sword; he is also not weak,” the knight muttered.

More soldiers ran towards him this time.

“This might not be easy,” the knight thought, seeing Harkey.

Harkey began fighting with the sword; he relied on precision more than anything. He kicks the opponents who came from the back.

  BLOCK!!

  SLASH!!!

  KICK!

  CUT!!

He kicked a man who came to attack him from the back, then cut him.

More soldiers joined to attack him. He felt so strong at first, but when multiple people attacked him from all sides, he felt the pressure.

  Cut!

Harkey began getting hit. Blood began to flow from various parts of his body.

“At least, I am buying time for them,” he said, smirking, when the swords cut him by the finest margins.

The soldiers suddenly overwhelmed him; even though he was trying his best to get out, he couldn’t attack everyone.

“You think you can defeat all of us by yourself? Who do you think you are?” one among the soldiers shouted.

“WARRIOR..” a voice came from the edge of the entrance.

“Andrew…” Harkey was shocked, in a good way.
