I stood up, and greeted the day with a flat look. Today was the day, for better or worse. A new chapter.

It had been a bit more then a month from when I arrived, and today was the first day of my stint at the naval academy.

As I walked out, I saw the academy in the distance. The hospital was an off shoot of the academy itself, and in fact trained ship's surgeons, and marine medics. The army, though, trained their own.

I checked my things. Uniform, medical supplies, bit of water, documentation. I patted her hip. Yep, my magnum was there. I looked at the distant buildings. 2 and a bit kilometers from my reckoning.

I began jogging. While I had done some physical therapy for my breathing, there was nothing like doing it for real. No ideal conditions, just moving my legs. Though admittedly, unlike with flesh and blood legs, I didn't get as tired with my augs.

But, by the time I arived, I had worked up a sweat. Too much time indoors, made me slow damn it. My breathing was rhythmic and steady. Unless I get severely stressed or yell a bunch, I should be fine. Probably.

I entered the primary building and walked to a desk with a middle aged woman sitting behind a terminal. I walked up, and saluted. "Lieutenant Nivka Feirbon reporting as ordered." I say, taking out the relevant document.

The woman picked it up, and checked it over. She looked up at me, and heanded the paper back. "You have a tablet?" She asked. I nodded, and she continued. "Good, hmmm. Ah, here. I sent the relevant info to your tablet. Read and walk, the tablet as everything." She said, before ignoring me.

I step back, and pull out my pad. Hmmm. Physical, orientation, then lodging. I sighed. This felt like doing the MK9 training all over again. Exept with less spookyness. That was a plus...
