All members of the Valor Society were on edge as they slept in. Nyra did her best trying to dream up of the perfect scheme in terms of having each member of the team go their separate paths. She knew Captain Valorion thrived on causing drama and knew draining him was the only key in defeating him. She did her best thinking of different plans in her sleep; but when she woke up the following morning she felt exhausted.

  “Is this how villains feel when they scheme?” thought Nyra as she got up from her bed.

  Nyra headed towards the restroom to get ready for the day, the other members of the Valor Society were also getting up. Brun was already making breakfast for everyone, pancakes, bacon, eggs and egg white and other vegan meals for those who have diet restrictions.

  “Ah yes, nothing like a good morning” laughed Brun.

  Brun felt at peace making the meals for the team, it was a way to show gratitude what Benny couldn’t show. Captain Valorion was the first to wake up, the captain knew Brun was the only member of the team that wasn’t rude – perhaps Brun could be used as a ploy against everyone else.

  “Good morning Brun, it’s so nice that you’re making breakfast for the team” said Captain Valorion.

  “Thanks, just doing my part” replied Brun.

  Brun continued to make everyone their meals – the smell of the kitchen was filled with nothing but breakfast. Tyler was the second one who came down, followed by Kade and Whisperblade.

  “Let me guess, Nyra is still mad at me from last night’s dinner?” laughed Captain Valorion.

  Nobody decided to say a word to challenge the captain that morning, it was best that everyone kept their mouths shut for the moment. Nyra finally arrived, she could feel the tension in the air besides the smell of breakfast.

  “About time you arrived” said Captain Valorion, “grab a plate and get to the table.”

  Captain Valorion even commanded everyone at breakfast, before he would take a breakfast plate himself. It was what he often did as he sat down. Nyra did her best trying to stay focus, she could tell the captain still didn’t like her from last night’s dinner with the technocrats.

  “I hope you’re all ready to take Felix Fromm’s Manners Camp this coming month” said Captain Valorion, “everyone, especially Nyra should be on their best behavior.”

  Nyra did her best trying to ignore the captain, but his toxic presence was getting to her. Tyler and Kade knew she was at a breaking point – they didn’t know when it would happen. Brun and Whisperblade could also sense it as they sat around at the dining table. Brun didn’t need breakfast since he was a robot, but he enjoyed being part of the company.

  “I can’t wait to see my old ally Benny” laughed Brun.

  “You should be wary about Benny, he will try to mess everything up for the rest of us” said Captain Valorion.

  The captain could tell the following month was going to be a busy month.
