Codex #5: The Treviet Union

  The Treviet Union

The Treviet Union is the largest and most populous nation in the world, occupying the northern half of the continent. Its landscape of rugged, snow-covered mountains and other harsh elemental climates has forged a history of struggle and conflict. Once a fractured collection of warring kingdoms vying for scarce resources, the Treviet Union’s brutal past has instilled a "might makes right" philosophy that remains central to its culture.

It is because of this its Channelers are held in especially high regard, and being able to wield it is seen as a sign of greatness. Families with long legacies of channeling often wield influence in nearly every corner of Treviet society.

The historically most powerful of these was the Romanova Lineage which dominated the region up until the years prior to the First Arcane wars, before being nearly wiped out during the Day of Frozen Blood, a coup orchestrated by the Dread General Voltan who seized the resources of the Romanova Lineage to quickly conquer the surrounding nations and form the Treviet Union, sparking the beginning of the First Arcane War on Skyfell.

A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation.

After the death of the Dread General near the end of the war, the fledgling nation nearly collapsed into civil strife, but a young Annaliese Romanova, a once presumed dead survivor of the Romanova lineage reappeared to quickly fill the vacuum. Using a mix of old loyalties, assassinations, and brute force she managed to keep the different factions within the Union unified. Earning her the infamous title of Frost Empress.

To this day, the Treviet Union holds the largest land army in the world. Boasting a massive force of crude, yet efficient arcane war machines. While their standard Mage Soldiers receive only the most basic of training—usually only wielding one or two standardized spells. Although they are still able to force an advantage where necessary with elite special forces, channeler leadership, integrated monster squadrons, and a high willingness to make sacrifices. Allowing them to overwhelm their better trained and supplied Solaran opponents with numbers, while striking hard in key areas with more elite forces.
