Moonlit Affection and the Shadow of the Sea

The moonlit night sky and the stars filled with stars. It seemed as if the world from the pages of a fairy tale had descended into the present. But the dark clouds that loomed over the beautiful sky cast a gloom over it, the stars flickering, and the moon repeatedly hid behind the clouds, as if hidden from view. Yet, the moonlight remained unaffected; it continued to fall on the pure white flowers of the trees, like poetry flowing from a pen.

The moonlight also brought its fragrance to Mo Yan's room, accompanied by a gentle breeze.

The room was quiet, like the tranquil flowers of a lake, and the peace was as if the night was passing quietly, bathed in enchanting moonlight. The curtains on the window of the room were rustling in a gentle breeze, creating a faint noise in the quiet, reaching Yu Sui's ears. Yu Sui was, as usual, cleaning his flute. He held a white cloth in his hand, and a lightly scented incense stick burned on the table nearby. But the mild sweet scent was also tinged with the bitterness of the medicine that lay in a mortar near the incense. A faint smile graced Yu Sui's lips as he cleaned the flute. A lively smile that held many stories within itself, he glanced once at the sleeping Mo Yan, giving him a moment of peace. Looking at Mo Yan, his eyes seemed to feel a sense of peace, the kind that comes after the end of a battle. Then he looked at his flute, waiting for its purpose to be fulfilled.

But when Yu Sui's eyes fell on Mo Yan again, he quickly stood up and sat down next to him on Mo's bedside. As soon as Yu Sui sat down next to Mo Yan, a few tears silently flowed from Mo Yan's closed eyes. His eyes twitched slightly, and his fingers moved as well. As soon as Yu Sui's eyes caught Mo Yan's slight movement, he immediately moved closer to her, but then there was a movement under the blanket next to Mo Yan, which caught Yu Sui's attention, Yu Sui's eyes widened, he extended his hand where something was moving under the blanket, and as Yu Sui's hand moved a little closer to the blanket, two small cat ears appeared from there, seeing them, Yu Sui's eyes immediately opened even more "ai...yi.." Yu Sui said in surprise, and then with a great leap, Ai Yin came out from under the blanket and started playing rolling on its back on Yu Sui's hand. And seeing Ai Yin in front of him, a sweet smile appeared on Yu Sui's face. It wasn't just his face, it was as if his whole body was smiling. His smile was like a mother's smile upon seeing her child after centuries. Yu Sui gently picked up Ai Yin with one hand and hugged his to his chest. The agility that flooded Ai Yin's body at the sight of Yu Sui was like an emotional storm. "Ai Yin... you were hiding here, I've been waiting for you for so long,"

Yu Sui said in a warm voice, his words reflecting his affection.

Just then, Ai Yin left Yu Sui and jumped onto Mo Yan's chest, hiding in his robes. From there, he peeked at Yu Sui, as if to tell him that he was with his father. Seeing this, Yu Sui let out a soft laugh. "I know, you like being with Mo Yan."

Just then, Mo Yan's eyes opened slightly, so slightly that Yu Sui didn't even notice any movement in Mo Yan's eyes.

But this lovely atmosphere wasn't like the storm outside, where Bao Fang and Su Nian were constantly arguing. "First Disciple, why don't you just admit that the sword belonged to that person?" Bao Fang said in a low voice, looking at Su Nian.

"No, Fang, this must be an illusion. It can't be. I don't agree."

Su Nian, with his brows furrowed, avoided Bao Fang's gaze.

Hearing Su Nian's words, Bao Fang took a deep breath and opened his mouth to speak, but then his gaze fell on Su Nian's back, and he calmed down and bowed deeply "It's nice to see you, Brother Duie" Bao Fang said with a very casual and humble expression, but as soon as Su Nian's ears heard Duie's name, he didn't dare to look back, his heart went into a strange state, his breathing became heavy and fast, he could clearly feel Duie's presence on his back. Su Nian just glanced back slightly, casting a sideways glance, which the other disciples ignored, but Bao Fang couldn't, and lowered his eyes and stole a glance. Just then, a voice came from behind:

"Master Wu Xiang has informed us that a dangerous snake has entered the lotus pond."

Duie said this in a heavy voice, taking a few steps forward and standing next to Su Nian, causing Su Nian's throat to almost dry up.

But the moment Duie looked at him, and the moment Su Nian's gaze met Duie's blazing eyes, Su Nian's every hair stood on end, his breath caught in her throat. Then Bao Fang, looking at Su Nian's condition, said, "A dangerous snake?" Bao Fang, with innocent concern, said, "Yes, a dangerous snake... and Master Wu Xiang wants me to hunt it, but the danger there could be too great, so Master Wu Xiang wants us all to hunt it together."

Duie spoke these words very seriously, so subtle that it was impossible for anyone to detect the lie.

But Su Nian was broke into a cold sweat when he heard that they were going to leave with Duie.
