“Just a year ago, and just a week here, though being a hero was about beating up the bad guys, basking in the glory of the masses, and being a hero of justice and peace,” Josh said as he began to pack up his stuff from his room… including an old stink-bomb he made when he first started as a prankster. “And for a while I thought it was something you are either born with or not,” he then tucked it in his bag with a warm smile…and then pulled his red philosopher stone from beneath his black ti-shirt with a solemn expression.
“But being hero…is more then just being gifted powers, sometimes if not many times, one has to earn power just to survive, and push ones self beyond even that if they wanted to protect people…but most all” he then places the philosopher stone back into his pocket dimension, and then from pulled out his elven dagger and stars at it for a moment. “It can make you regret the dream you once aspired to reach…even when you finally gain the means to follow it.”
Josh then puts the dagger away in his pocket dimension. And then is greeted by his mom and dad at his door with a smile, and as he follows them downstairs, they then carry the rest of his luggage to their two cars.
While Sasha looked at Josh with a warm, welcoming smile on her face, Josh, in kind, returned it.
Then, as the older teen sat in his mom's car, they made a short stop at his high school to make some last-minute goodbyes.
“However…that doesn’t mean the dream isn’t worth pursuing…it just means you know the weight of carrying it.” Several of the classmates then welcome patted Josh on the back. Then Josh saw Mr. Thompson greeting, before showing and performing the same alchemic experiment Miller did in his classroom…but this time turning copper into nickel, and Josh couldn’t help but shake his head, chuckled at seeing that. “And more importantly, how that can inspire others.”

After the short vist Josh was then brought to the Hero League headquarters…though in contrast to his eagerness before, he still held a lingering doubt that he would be rejected just like last time, and just for fate to twist the knife further, he soon found himself facing the same woman clerk who coldly rejected his registration as a hero.
Josh then, with a low breath, walked to the woman who stared with the same stern dark brown eyes, and Miller then cleared his breath and spoke with a clear matter-of-fact tone. “My name is Josh Steven Miller, and Captain Radient offered me registration to be a hero.
The woman then looked to Josh, who, over a year ago, once wore a tacky,y poorly patched-up homemade hero suit…and yet despite wearing civilian clothes, she held a more subdued, almost amusing expression. And at first, Josh thought she was going to reject him for still being a normal human.
But the clerk then let out a short breath, glance up at Josh…and an actual, genuine smile that was laced with respect and acknowledgment rose up from her face.
“He has been expecting you,” she then got up from her seat. “Come this way,” the clerk then personally led Josh to the center of the Hero League building, took up a center elevator, directly to Captain Radient's office.
I was a simple gray and steel pallet with a matching metal and plastic disk, meant not show off but for practicality, with the hero himself standing next to Ebony Blade and Mike Manson.
“Glad to see you have finally made it, Josh Miller,” Captain Radidant greeted his idol with an even warmer smile and grin. Which was shared by Ebony Blade and Mike Manson.
“Ready to be a hero…Knight of Alleran?’ He asked, and Josh Miller returned the smile, with a nod, walks up to the Captain.
“And the end, I guess that is what it means to hero, to be a symbol”.
Josh and the top hero then shook hands.
“By becoming one by your own choices…not by what fate has given you.”
