*thump thump* Kimel's heart pounded in her abdomen, screaming at her to fly away. But before she could even process anything, the bloodlust came again. It was growing closer. This intimidating aura paralysed her body. She couldn't move. Then.. *crack*.. trees started collapsing from the shear pressure of this.. things Mani. Kimel looked down at the fight between the brown bears and black spider but all she saw was nothing. They had fled, something Kimel should've done. *thump thump* her heart screamed again as the bloodlust struck for a third time. This time, it was followed by a blast of water. The spell collided with Kimel’s wing and she couldn't escape until her Reparation Magic kicked in, but that wouldn't happen for some time.
-You see, while her Reparation Magic seems really overpowered, allowing her to repair her body from any injury. Even ones that would end her. There are drawbacks. One drawback is that it cannot be used again for a long time, twenty minutes to be exact, once it's over. Because she had used it several times on her way over to the Mani Forest, she couldn't use it again for another 17 minutes. Which, in her current situation, means she will almost certainly struggle. -
“Well well well, what do we have here?” a voice vibrating through the trees, “a little bee” Another voice spoke but Kimel couldn't hear what it said, as it was faint and crackly. The first voice introduced himself as Glent Hen. He explained, “You see little bee, your species comes here every year to try and take all the Mani from themselves. We humans find that very unfair, so what we're doing now is fighting back. Any bee is dead.” He snickered, firing off another water shot which narrowly missed Kimel's head. “I missed? I'm laughing too much, guess I should stop” as his laughter abruptly stopped. Water began to gather around his hand, hardening into Icicles. He launched them at Kimel as she leaped down from the branch, desperately trying to fly away but to no avail. Her wing was too damaged, she couldn't fly with one wing. And her Reparation Magic wouldn't kick in for another 14 minutes. She's screwed. She just needs to buy time to wait for her Reparation Magic to work. So, what does Kimel do? Three green magic circles appear above her and one more appears below her to help her levitate. The three above her blasted large gusts of wind towards Glint and the other person. “Pathetic” Glint taunted, not even flinching at the impact. Kimel gritted her mandibles, annoyed by the taunting. Again, she launched the same attack, but with four circles instead of the previous three. All four were launched and Glint just shrugged them off, as if they were nothing but dirt. Glint taunted her again, but a fifth circle appeared below Glint enveloping him in a hurricane of wind. “Not bad little critter, not bad. But you'll have to do better” he walked through the attack unscathed. Kimel started panicking, trying to find a solution in her mind on how to win. She could always use her stinger on him but that might not work on him, seeing as her powerful wind spells haven't even left a scratch on him. A barrage of icicles flew towards her as Kimel used her Wind Blasts to manoeuvre around the spells. Three hits and she's a goner. Glint was blasting seven at once, almost bragging he was far stronger. “Give up little bee, you and your species will collapse once and for all” he said, mockingly.

-Seven minutes left-
She began frantically casting Poison Magic: Purple Sludge (a new move she just came up with, mere moments ago), trying to create some distance between them. “Six, no seven, wait no… eight different circles. This bee is good” Glint thought to himself, “but i'm far superior”. Glint hardened his Water Magic again, creating Ice Balls and started to rapidly pelt them towards Kimel’s Magic Circles, crushing them on impact. “He can do that?!” Kimel looked stunned, “I have to think of something. This wind supporting me won't last long”. Then it came to her, she could surround her damaged wing in Wind Magic to make a pseudo-wing. “Hopefully this'll do” she thought. And it was. She surrounded her damaged wing with her wind magic and she could fly again, all be it not as well as how she flies with it fully healed. Either way, she can now evade Glints attacks. *thud* An icicle collided with her abdomen as she came crashing down to the ground. “Never, in a fight, get distracted.” Glint said with laughter in his tone of voice. “Damn it all” Kimel screamed in her head, “Not again. Reparation Magic still has five minutes left. It's hopeless, it's over for me.” Then the octopamine kicked in, her fight or flight response kicked in.
In this world, octopamine, or the fight or flight response, works differently. Typically, it triggers defensive behaviour like stinging or aggressive movements. However, in this world it boosts the movement, Mani and overall magical output of bees. It essentially boosts all offensive stats in a bee while it's active.
A wave of octopamine doused Kimel’s brain as she immediately recovered from the impact. She flew straight up and just hovered… staring Glint down. She grew an immense aura, matching that of the Queen’s. Glint could sense she was getting serious and laugh maniacally, “Give me your best shot, little BEE!!”
