Amal’s Interview – Chapter 3

He knocks on the door and a little girl comes out and looks at him with a strange look.

  Girl: (cautiously) Who are you?..

Okays: Sorry to bother you, is Mr. Taris here? .

Girl: (cautiously) Yes, this is his house. Who are you? .

Okays: I am Okays, son of Arlena. Do you know her? She told me to come here.

Okays removes the mask from his face quietly and the girl becomes more cautious of him and when she sees that he is a hybrid, she is afraid of him and closes the door in his face.

Okays knocks on the door again. This time, a strange old man opens the door for him.

Okays: (Could it be Taris) Yes, it is. I am pleased to meet you.

Okays: Come in. You can also take off your mask. I know that you are a hybrid.

Okays: (cautiously) Okay, I will come in then. Where is Taris? .

  Old Stranger: (Yawns) It's me.

Okays: (As I thought) I'm sorry I didn't recognize you.

Tares: (Laughs) How could you know me when you've never met me before?

Okays entered the abandoned house with Tarres, only to discover that the interior was completely different from the exterior. The walls were filled with old books, and the scent of herbs filled the air, giving the impression of comfort and tranquility.

Okays followed Tarres, who led him to the living room, where he sat on the old chair that looked comfortable despite its wear and tear. While Tarres began to talk about mysterious matters, the little girl came carrying a cup of bck tea, known in the continent of monsters as Thawth tea.

Girl: (smiling) Here, this tea will give you strength.

Okays took the cup in his hands, sensing the heat of the tea as it exuded a strong and distinct aroma. He drank some of it, noticing that the fvor was strange, a mixture of bitterness and depth, which made him feel energetic and bright.

Taris: (smiling) This tea is one of the best here. It will help you with what you need.

Okays sat down, feeling anticipation and excitement to know what this meeting has in store for him.

Taris: So, Okays, what brings you here?

Okays: My mother told me to come to you to ask for your help.

Taris: About your mother, where is she? I haven't seen her around for a while.

Okays: (lowering his head slowly) She's gone.

Taris: (with a look of deep sadness) I knew this time would come soon. She was a good friend.

Silence stretches in the council, as Taris looks up at the ceiling, tears glistening in his eyes. The atmosphere grows heavy, memories fshing through his mind. He remembers all the times they spent together, their ughter and conversations, and how Arlena was always a source of hope and comfort for everyone around her.

The outside sounds fade away, and a deep silence fills the room. Okays feels the pain of loss, and knows that the memory of his mother will live on in his heart, but he also knows that he must continue on his path.

Taris: So what kind of help did you want from me?

Okays: My mother told me to come to you so that she could tell me how to get out of this pce.

Taris: Do you mean leaving the walls?

  Okays: (Shakes his head) Yes.

Taris: Forget it, there is no way out of here.

Okays: (sad look) Please just think I'm sure my mother told me to come to you because she was sure you had a way.

Taris: Okay if this is her st wish I'll tell you but it's an old story I don't know if it's true.

  Okays: It's okay tell me.

  Taris tells his story::

300 years ago I heard that there was a monster who tried to get out of the walls but of course he didn't succeed but the story says that he used a creature that can fly very high

If he used it then why didn't he succeed because above the wall there are monsters that prevent anyone from passing through for this reason but the bird that the monster used is a rare bird that only appears once a century and is called the valley bird.

Okays: (excited) Where is this bird?

Taris: I just told you that it only appears once a century.

Okays: Is it true that there is no pce for it to sit?

Taris: I don't know about that

Little girl: (intervenes in their conversation) Grandpa, aren't you talking about the bird on the hill over there?

Taris: (annoyed) Kalira, why are you interrupting the adults?

Okays: It's okay, tell me which bird you're talking about.

Taris: Okay, okay, I'll tell you, the bird is on the hill, I didn't want to tell you because it's too dangerous to go there.

Okays: Don't worry, I can go, I'll take responsibility for it.

  Kalira: I'm sorry Grandpa.

Taris: It's okay, you just ruined my whole reputation.

  Okays: I'll go now.

Taris: Oh, are you going there and you don't even know where it is?

Okays: (embarrassed) I didn't think of that.

Taris: Yes, you are really Arlena's child (ughs) Calera.

  Calera: Yes, Grandpa.

Taris: Go with Okais and show him the way.

Calera: Well, I was going to the mountain anyway, to pick the thyme leaves.

  Okays: Thank you.

Taris: Be careful, the mountains are very dangerous.

Okays and Calera leave the house, and Taris watches them anxiously. They reach the desired hill and start to rise to the hill. There were many trees and there were kinds of small monsters living among these trees. Suddenly, they heard a sound among the trees. Calera hid behind Okays.
